The character classes
Foggernauts are just as happy exploring underwater as they are on the battlefield. Not only do these harpoon-artists know how to harness the power of the ocean; they're also fine defenders and masters of movement. Their technomagical turrets bombard everyone within range, be they friend or foe. Make sure you don't drown in a flood of technomagic!

Each time you gain enough experience to level up, you will get 5 points to increase your characteristics and 1 point to improve your spells. You should spend these points carefully and establish a direction in which you want your character to evolve.
In the table below you'll see how much it costs to improve each characteristic. The more you invest in any one characteristic, the more points you'll need to spend to continue improving it.
For example, for a Foggernaut, each of the first 50 INTELLIGENCE points will cost you just 1 point. Once you've passed this threshold, however, you will need to invest 2 points to improve this characteristic.
|Cost in points for each
|1 for 1||2 for 1||3 for 1||4 for 1||5 for 1|
|Intelligence||0 to 50||51 to 200||201 +||-||-|

Foggernauts in general
A Foggernaut's greatest strength lies in his ability to control the battlefield. Using his turrets, he can create danger zones (where damage will be dealt) and defensive zones (where heals are handed out). But watch out, because these zones will affect enemies and allies alike! Strategic placement will therefore be essential if you don't want to heal enemies or slow your allies down. The Foggernauts' gameplay is based on their three turrets:
Harpooner, Lifesaver and Tacturret.
Turrets can be improved using the spell Evolution, which will enable you to concentrate on one turret in particular and thus take on a certain role in the fight (healer, damage dealer or crowd control). When a turret reaches its maximum level of 3, it will gain access to a special spell which can reach a target anywhere on the battlefield (provided you have marked the target using a certain spell beforehand).
One of the Foggernauts' other strengths is the power to move enemies using pushback and attraction spells such as Backwash and Tide.
Finally, the Foggernauts are also prized for their boost and protection spells, such as First Aid, Scaphander and Periscope.
As a Foggernaut, you can choose a main elementary path which will determine your attack spells. The Harpooner turret can inflict Fire, Earth or Water damage, so the choice is yours! All you have to do is hit the turret using an Earth spell and it will start dealing Earth-type damage. On the other hand, if you target it with the Fire spell Vapour, the turret will hit Fire damage during its turn. The same goes for Water. You can also choose a multi-elemental build in order to make the most of the best spells each elemental branch has to offer, as well as your tri-elemental spell, Ambush.
If close combat is your fighting style of choice, the best weapon for you would be a hammer (100% damage) if you want area-of-effect damage, or a shovel (95% damage). If neither of these weapons is particularly suited to the style of game you want to play, you can, of course, choose from any of the other weapons available (90% damage).
