Iop's Heart
Iops are go-getting Warriors beyond reproach! One thing's for sure: Iops know how to use their weapons. They need to draw first blood at least once a day just to feel alive. Their impetuousness can make Iops the best of knights ... and the worst!
Profile
Speciality: Close combat warrior
Preferred weapons: Sword (100% damage) and Hammer(95% damage)
Basic characteristics:
- 50 Health Points (HP)
- 6 Action Points (AP)
- 3 Movement Points (MP)
- 0 Initiative Points
- 100 Prospecting Points
Each time you level up in combat, you'll receive 5 points which you can use to improve your characteristics and one point for your spells. You should spend these points carefully and establish a direction in which you want your character to evolve.
In the table below you'll see how much it costs to improve each characteristic. The more you invest in any one characteristic, the more points you'll have to spend to continue improving it.
For Iops, each Stength point will only cost one capital point until you have accumulated 100. Thereafter, you'll have to spend two capital points to improve this characteristic.
Vitality will always cost one point and Wisdom will always cost three.
| Cost in points for each characteristic |
1 for 1 | 2 for 1 | 3 for 1 | 4 for 1 | 5 for 1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intelligence | 0 to 20 | 21 to 40 | 41 to 60 | 61 to 80 | 81+ |

| Agility | 0 to 20 | 21 to 40 | 41 to 60 | 61 to 80 | 81+ |
| Strength | 0 to 100 | 100 to 200 | 201 to 300 | 301 to 400 | 401+ |
What sets Iops apart is their Stength and it is this characteristic that will cost the least amount of capital points to develop. Stength increases your Earth damage and it is on this element that most of their spells are based. It also increases Neutral damage.

Iops in general
What sets Iops apart is the enormous damage dealt by their attacks. Iops possess the single most powerful attack in the game. The downside of their power is the fact that they must be very close to their enemies to attack.
Regardless of the basic course you decide to take with your character, you'll find yourself using these fundamental spells again and again:
Jump, Intimidation, Compulsion, Vitality, Power, Mutilation
Regardless of your basic element, these spells will increase damage, improve Vitality or allow you to get into a close combat position more quickly. You'll soon get to know them inside out.
Being an expert in close combat, you should equip your character either with a Sword (100% damage) or with a Hammer (95% damage). Nothing's stopping you from trying out the other weapons in the game, but with these your damage will fall to 90%.
As for choosing your attack spells, this will depend on the element you decide to specialise in. Iops are excellent warriors so you'll find you have a good number of offensive spells, mainly linked to three elements - Earth, Fire and Air. Earth Iops are the most popular choice and are the easiest characters to evolve. Stength is the least costly characteristic to improve for Iops and their most powerful spells are linked to the Earth element. But nothing's stopping you from choosing another element on which to base your character.
