Rules and Sanctions

DOFUS players agree to accept a certain number of rules, which exist to maintain a pleasant environment and optimise playing conditions for each and every player. Any player who breaks these rules may be subject to sanctions. The following page is intended to clarify the rules as laid out in the Terms and Conditions of DOFUS, and it is not exhaustive.

The following sanctions can be applied to your account by in-game moderators or DOFUS Support:

Warning

The player will receive a warning from the red admin channel to inform them of the rules and to warn them that they risk further sanctions. It does not expire and is automatically considered to have been read and understood by the player.

Mute

If a player does not respect the rules of the public chat channels, a moderator can remove their ability to speak in-game and may send a request to Support for further sanctions.

Kick

A moderator may remove a player from the game for a given amount of time to prevent further breaches of the rules and may send a request to Support for further sanctions.

Temporary Ban

The account not be accessible for a certain number of days (3, 7, 15 or 30 days). The length of the ban depends on how serious the infraction was and whether or not it was a first-time offence.

Permanent Ban

The account will be permanently closed, and the player can no longer access it. This sanction is usually applied in the case of re-offenders or players who have seriously breached the rules of DOFUS.

The severity of a sanction depends on the seriousness of the crime committed. Generally speaking, several warnings lead to a ban and several bans lead to a permanent ban. However, certain infractions automatically lead to a permanent ban without warning. Repeatedly flouting a rule can also lead to a permanent ban.
