Vulkania: Grab your flip-flops and your pith helmet!
With the summer season comes the urge to have a picnic and take long walks... through the deepest darkest jungle! Luckily, Vulkania is back, just in time for summer! Grozilla and Grasmera will be your guides on a cheery group tour... of hurting!

What, you thought that a vacation should be safe? Pft! You never value your life more than the moment after you almost lose it! And you'll never appreciate how precious your existance is more keenly once you've survived the explosive safari that Charlie's Agents are offering on the Island of Vulkania! Located south of Otomai Island, this exception archipelago has a flamboyant atmosphere like no other.

Activities include: Decending into exstinct volcanos, trekking through tropical jungles, expeditions in crystaline caverns, and hunting Sauroshells solo or with friends!

This year, the island offers up a grand buffet of surprises:

* The gruesome twosome, Grozilla and Grasmera, have four levels of strength. Weaker adventurers can now stand up to them, but beware... The monsters’ strongest states will pose an even bigger challenge than last year!

* When defeated in their two weaker states, Grozilla and Grasmera will drop tokens that can be exchanged for a new pet: the Krolimea. Moreover, players that defeat the island bosses for the first time will obtain the Vulkanian Salute emote.

* New! A competition between Vulkorog and Otomaisle has commenced! Players will win points for their team by completing quests that can be repeated again and again. Each week, the winning team will see a special shop open on their island for 7 days. But that’s not all...! The winning team will also have access to Maimane Rock, where players will have the opportunity to obtain two new emotes, one per team!

After the trouble we had last year, I don't understand why they kept it at 4000. 2000 is more than enough for the smaller servers if you ask me.
Even 2k is a bit of a harsh number for ultra small servers. But I think if they created more thrilling prizes, I think more would participate and maybe overcome that number. But not 4k >.>

If you get everyone working together 2000 should be doable.

Ankama should really start considering the difference of population in every server/community before they make an event.

Here is a hint... Scale the difficulty/rewards in proportion to server population.

French servers
1000 kolostoken = 1 spell scroll
raw sauroshell = 4000

Rushu
750 kolostoken = 1 spell scroll
raw sausoshell = 3000

Rosal/Solar
500 kolostoken = 1 spell scroll
raw sausoshell = 2000

Zato/Shika
300 kolostoken = 1 spell scroll
raw sausoshell = 1000

As long as there is a disadvantage in being in smaller server, smaller servers will continue to deteriorate. And more players will find dofus to be more stressful instead of a way to relieve stress.

I would really like to try gain as much as i can, but I don't think it is fair that some people try harder than others, while the people who don't put much effort as those can reap the same benefits
Agreed - I donated at least 220 of those, but I don't have a hope of beating G&G if they are like last year. If we can receive a ton of xp and rewards for running round collecting shells, surely a little motivation for heart collecting would not be too much to ask?

Here's a suggestion: 1 Pinki Token per heart of the correct level collected. 50 Pinki Tokens can be exchanged at the shop for a potion giving you 1AP and 1MP for your next 10 fights on Vulkania.

I feel like the spawn rate of the raws was reduced again. I remember last year the spawn rate was increased, but I went to go hunt venes and I couldn't find any raws spawned. :/

Me and other people on Shika have this reasoning - Until they reduce the number of hearts that have to be gathered by the whole server and make it reasonable for a small server like Shika, we're not gonna even try. Look, we didn't even go past 500 of ONE type of heart. People have lost hope. I don't blame them. I blame the genius who came up with this idea of 4k hearts.

Obviously very few on Rosal care to mess with Vulkania. Last year we had all the hearts in a matter of a few days. This year we hardly have any of them so far. Guess everyone is too busy being selfish jerks as usual. I'm truly beginning to hate this game. Everyone I've talked to says "why would I want to stop farming Tengu for mats and getting 50 million xp per fight for some boring island?" It's everyone for themselves on Rosal and it is very sad. Noone gives a shit about quests or lame emotes. Just their endgame sets and set parts to put on the market for unreasonably high prices. It's funny in a way because these are the same people crying for new content. Ankama adds stuff to Vulkania and they still turn their noses up at it.
No. No one is being selfish, its just this island doesnt offer anything useful to players so why bother??

That's the point. The rewards of this island are emotes, a vanity pet, and a vanity petsmount. The average Ankama event (read: not the high-stakes and gigantic Goultarminator event) is designed to provide nothing more than novelty enjoyment to players. People actually do enjoy these types of things.

Although I have a strong feeling that this island will tie into the Goultarminator community challenges soon, if you want something "useful" (by your definition) to come out of it.

What is the fixation with %damage pets? Seems every other pet or petsmount they come out with is %damage.
Noticed that nobody uses ogival and CB sets so they push the idea of omi characters is how I see it.
They wanted people to use things besides cb, that is why they nerfed it.
