Goultarminator 2012 Wrap-up!2012-09-05 18:00
Last Saturday, a few days before the start of the school year, the last two fights of the 2012 tournament were played and a new server joined the elite rank of those who can boast about being the home of international champions.
Following Jiva B in 2009, Maimane C in 2010 and Pouchecot A in 2011, this year it was Hécate A who conquered the number one spot of the podium, after 9 fights where they never once let the strenght of their opponants or even the charms of Lady Luck herself to sway them from victory.
Nice rewards for the best teams
Congratulations to Snyler the Osamodas, Azadax the Sadida, Fahrell the Pandawa and Dazed the Rogue, who never once disappointed throughout the tournament, despite the pressure that followed them from match to match for being this year's favourites.
These four new champions will rejoin their server, Hécate, each with 20 million kamas in their pockets, as well as a one year subscription to Dofus, but above all with the Champion Set and particularly a shield that will allow them to proudly display their title of "Goultarminator Champion 642". Rewards which will also be offered to their replacements!
Hécate A certainly won, but this was not an easy task, since they had to face opponents who are just as fierce as themselves, starting with the finalist team, Silouate A. Even though they had to accept defeat upon the last fight of the tournament just like their predecessors had to do against Jiva B in 2009, they are hardly going home empty handed over it: each player (and replacement) will receive 10 million kamas and a 6 month subscription to Dofus.
The final wasn't the only fight taking place on Saturday. An hour earlier, the third podium step was being disputed during the third place playoff. This fight was between Rushu C and Djaul C, having both been knocked out during the semi-finals. It was Rushu C who took it home, after a tight and intense match: the survivors of the International server were themselves on the brim of death when they finished off the last Djaul player.
The Rushu C players return home with 5 million kamas each and a 3 month subscription to Dofus, but mostly with pride for being the first team from a non French server to be part of a Goultarminator's victory podium!
Let's not forget that these three teams are not the only ones returning home rewarded, since all Goultarminator teams, as long as all their combats were fought without forfeits, will be thanked for their participation with 5000 kolossokens and a 700 Ogrines voucher to be used on the DOFUS store.
This reward will also be given to the referees and the fansites for their efforts during the event.Double rewards for the best servers
If you remember, this year we wanted to reward the servers who weren't focusing too much on one team and that have given an equal chance to all of their 16 representatives. The best servers are therefore those whose weakest team accumulated the biggest amount of points.
Considering the fact that this ranking was determined during the Selection phase, when the French and International servers were separated into two separate groups... we decided to give away twice as many rewards not just rewarding the 10 best servers, but the 10 best French servers and the 10 best International servers.
The winning servers are as follows:
Rushu and Djaul will be rewarded with a weekend where the XP and the rewards are multiplied by two and an unlimited bunch of keys.
Buhorado, Alma, Tinieblas, Nomekop, Bowisse, Otomaï, Danathor, and Helsephine will be rewarded with a weekend where the XP and the rewards are multiplied by 1.5 and an unlimited bunch of keys.
Aguabrial, Nehra, Ereziah, Rosal, Zatoishwan, Hecate, Maimane, Jiva, Domen, and Menalt will be rewarded with a weekend with an unlimited bunch of keys.
This reward weekend will take place, for each of the winning servers, between 6p.m. on the 21st of September 2012 and 9a.m. on the 24th of September 2012.
We would like to express our appreciation to all those who have helped, in one way or another, towards the organization of this year's Goultarminator.
