DevTracker
Kwismas Island:

  • New quests, rewards, and new monsters are added to the content of Kwismas Island. A new gift system allows gift-wrapping items to offer them to other players.

Maps and areas:

  • All maps of the Astrub area (interior and exterior) have been redone.
  • The interiors of the Koalak area have been reworked.
  • The Amakna Cemetary area has been redone.

Modification of the unbewitchment system:

The unbewitchment system is changed and the majority of spells no longer remove all spell effects of the target, but instead reduce their duration.
When the duration of an effect reaches 0, the effect is considered as unbewitched. For example, a reduction of 2 turns on a spell effect which lasts 2 turns equals a complete unbewitchment.

This new system allows us to offer different types of spells by varying their reduction of duration. We can replace complete but random unbewitchment (Ghostly Shovel or Stain, for example) by weaker spell duration reductions which are deterministic (not random).

Improved management of unhealable damage:

Unhealable damage (10% of the HP lost by default) is now applied to the fixed damage reduction from spells (Preventing Word, elemental Feca Armours, Toad, Mummification etc.).

This change allows us to ensure that a character can’t remain invulnerable for an indefinite amount of time so easily. It’s also an opportunity for us to introduce a new concept of managing damage by adding unhealable damage penalties for enemies to the spells of several offensive classes.
More importantly, this new feature allows us to strengthen the role of offensive classes and lets them fight more effectively against protective classes.

Additionally, this change can significantly reduce the length of "endless” fights when both teams have better protective abilities than offensive abilities.

Classes affected by these new options are: Iop, Ecaflip, Sram and Rogue (with the spell Blunderbuss). The maximum percentage of unhealable damage stays 50%.

Stacking Actions:

A new system allows for a simplified gathering of resources (and, thus, reduces the number of useless clicks) by stacking several resource gathering commands (on the same map) in advance, which will then be carried out sequentially. This feature can be used via the shortcut Shift + mouse click on resources.

Monsters:

  • Following the changes to the unbewitching system, the infinite duration of monsters’ spells is replaced by a finite duration (generally between 4 and 6 turns).
  • Daggero’s level has been amended in order to correspond to the dungeon’s intended level of difficulty. His characteristics remain unchanged.
  • The experience gained by defeating monsters from Wabbit Island has been adjusted to match their level, resulting in a global increase in the experience obtained at the end of fights.
  • Souls of bounty monsters can now be captured, thus allowing the capture of archmonsters that may accompany them.
  • The Immature Koalak’s spell Brilliant Shock once again reduces its target’s AP loss resistance.
  • The Crowfox’s spell Cawing once again reduces elemental resistances.
  • The Polished Crackler’s spell Polishing once again reduces critical hit probability.
