Pandala Awakens, Part 2

By [Ankama]DOFUS - ADMIN - September 22, 2020, 17:00:00

1. Nolifis Island

After the initial in-depth revamp of the various regions of Pandala, the transformation of Nolifis is complete! If you're a player with a subscription, there's a boat near Terrdala that can take you to explore the cursed island once you've completed the "Pandala Awakens" quest (as a reminder, the quest is available from the NPC Moku in front of Pandala Bridge at 12,-21).

Nolifis Island consists of two separate areas:

  • Nolifis Cemetery (level-150 area, level-160 dungeon), invaded by the specters of the Mist Army.
  • Mount Tombs (level-160 area, level-170 dungeon), haunted by Tomb Yokai.

New Nolifis quests are available – they are for characters at levels 160–170 (characters with a minimum level of 140 can start them).

  • The Dreggon Fetter spell now has its own icon.
  • Poisons applied by the Ouginak Vertebra spell, Corruption Pestilence's Pestilential Fog spell, and the Ebony Dofus dissipate when the caster or target dies. As such, they can no longer inflict damage on a living target if the poison's caster is dead, nor on a revived target that is still under the effects of a poison (whether the caster is dead or alive).
  • The Weapon Skill, Moon Hammer, and Leek Pie spells can now be correctly obtained on the Heroic servers.

17. Items

  • The Kickroach Drinking Trough now looks like an actual drinking trough.
  • The Larval Healing Potion can no longer be used on a target already suffering the effects of two curses.
  • Recipes including resources linked to former monsters from the Nolifis Ghost family have been changed.
  • Non-evolving pets and petsmounts (such as Kwynesses and Karmeleons) with a legendary status or power will correctly keep it the next time you log in.
  • To ensure consistency with all the other Dofus and their prerequisite levels, the Domakuro's level has been reduced from 140 to 120.

  • The Tight challenge fails if all allies are dead.
  • The level required to validate the Petrified Forest achievement has been reduced: 190 → 180.

20. Combat

  • The AI didn't take areas of effect into account when it was detected that a retreat action would be necessary to cast the spell. This had the effect of, for example, encouraging a monster to simply stick to an enemy rather than attacking them.
  • Now, if a character dies, the display showing the duration of effects originating from the character is minimized at the end of the previous turn. This fixes the AP and MP removal display bug, for example.
  • When a character was on two identical glyphs and they moved onto a cell that was separated from one of the glyphs, they lost the glyph's effects. This issue has been fixed.
  • When a character was on a cell with two identical glyphs that completely overlapped, the glyphs' effects were applied twice, even if the effects could not be stacked. This issue has been fixed.
  • The combat erosion percentage was sometimes wrong in the chat interface combat log when the character suffered multiple effects that could not be stacked. This issue has been fixed.
  • Servitude is no longer healed twice instead of once when going into Phase 3.
  • The option "Add Show/Hide States" (Alt+7 shortcut by default) is now available by right-clicking in combat.
  • A character's turn was sometimes automatically skipped after moving or casting a spell. This issue has been fixed.
  • A carried invisible entity no longer becomes visible when carried by a visible entity.
  • A bug where an invisible entity previewing a spell became visible in the client until the next turn has been fixed.
  • A kind of end-of-fight results history has been added to the chat interface. From now on, each end-of-fight link in the chat interface redirects to the results of the related fight.

21. Well of Infinite Dreams

  • Following many reports from players, we identified a bug that prevented the range, movement points and damage of monsters' spells from correctly evolving after floor 220. As such, the lower the monster's basic level, the less its characteristics evolved, creating an increasingly significant power gap between these monsters and high-level monsters throughout the floors. This bug is partially corrected, however base spell damage continues to suffer from insufficient increase. At the same time, this solves the problem of the difference between monsters' displayed movement points and real movement points.
  • Tanukouï San's Dream: The description now specifies that healing is indexed to the target's maximum vitality.
  • Tanukouï San's Paradox: The effect appeared twice in the list of bewitchments whereas it only needs to appear once.

22. Quests

  • Adventurers who have explored Pandala can continue discovering the Pandawas' ancestral land by setting sail for Nolifis Island. After getting the dragon Orukam's black egg, perhaps they'll become the new protectors of Imagiro's White Dofus! You'll need to have already met Ronald the Wise to find out more about the legendary Dofus he once guarded.
  • Wise and Wiser: Velpus is a slightly less dangerous opponent than before (reduced MP and gains from transformation, longer recast time for the spell Erosion).
  • See Dark Vlad and Die… or Not: Decrepit skeletons have fewer Health Points.
  • An Eternal Harvest: Monsters from the Nolifis Ghost family have been replaced by new monsters inhabiting Nolifis Island.
  • Almanax offerings and bonuses linked to Nolifis Island and its monster family have been changed.
  • Barnaby in Space: The Magic Stroke spell's icon has been changed to match the spell's attack element.

23. Geography

  • The Nolifis Cemetery area has been revamped. It is now larger, with fresh scenery and a new dungeon, Shogun Tofugawa's Tomb.
  • A new area, Mount Tombs (accessible from Nolifis Cemetery), and a new dungeon, the Spirit Abode, have been added.
  • The Akwadala area has been slightly enlarged and contains farmers' and fishermen's workshops.

24. Interface

  • In the list of crafters, a new icon indicates crafters who can craft legendary items.
  • The error pop-up when crafting a legendary item specifies what is required to be able to craft the item.
  • In the crafting interface, the list of recipes now correctly updates if a crafter gains multiple profession levels at once.
  • The position of the button to rename a mount in a paddock has been fixed and the interface is working again.
  • Sub-category filters have been added for breeding items.
  • How the purchasing and equipping conditions for an item are displayed has been fixed if there are multiple conditions.
  • Spell tooltips no longer state "Class spell: …".
  • You can now use a Zaap vestige to enter a temporal anomaly if the option "Display Animated Decors" is unchecked.
  • The default shortcut to send a guild message is now Ctrl+Alt+Enter.
  • At the Estate Agency:
    • You now know which character the owner of a house for sale was logged on with.
    • If they are online, you can send them a message using the estate agency interface.
    • If they are offline, you can do so using Ankabox.
  • The default way notifications are displayed for completed achievements and quests has been fixed; they didn't appear even if the option was checked.
  • The number of Ankama Shield validation and restricted mode pop-ups has been reduced.

25. Miscellaneous

  • Following feedback from some players, various spelling corrections have been made to in-game texts.
  • A new resource category has been added: Obsolete. It contains resources that are no longer used in the game and will make it easier for players to find resources that are now obsolete.
  • Map fragment and Rabmajoke categories have been added to the resource marketplace.
  • Pets no longer slide along the ground while walking when they leave an aura animation.
  • Creature mode now also works for transformed and incarnated players.
  • Some information texts in the chat interface have been corrected.
  • The community challenges feature has been removed. Challenges that are in progress when the update takes place will not be reimbursed.
