Balancing

A devblog is available here.

The changes to the Pandawa class are as follows:

General Mechanics

  • Sober state:
    • How it works:
      • The Sober state is being introduced as a counterpoint to the Drunk state.
      • When Pandawas enter combat, they will always start in the Sober state by default.
      • They can then alternate between the Sober state and Drunk state with their spells during combat.
  • Drunk state:
    • How it works:
      • The state's duration has been reduced: 4 → 2 turns
      • The 1 MP penalty is now always tied to the Drunk state.
      • The reduction in damage suffered is also tied to the Drunk state.
        • The reduction value has been decreased: 25 → 15%
      • The effects can no longer be dissipated.
  • Karcham & Chamrak:
    • How it works:
      • Carries the target.

      • If the target is an ally, also applies the Serenity state on the target:
Reduces the final damage inflicted by the target (-50% damage inflicted).

      • If the caster ends their turn carrying an ally in the Serenity state, they reapply the state and apply the Pacifist state on the ally.
      • While the target is carried:

        • Deactivates lines of sight for the target's spells.

        • If the target is an ally, makes the target Pacifist.

        • Applies the Carrying state on the caster.

        • Increases the Range of the caster's spell.

      • If the caster is in the Carrying state: throws the target onto the targeted cell.

      • Casting conditions:
        • Requires the Sober state.
        • Casts per turn: 4
    • Karchamrak (starting spell):
      • A Power bonus now applies when the Pandawa ends their turn carrying an entity. The bonus lasts 2 turns and cannot be unbewitched.
      • (Based on the caster's level) 20 / 40 / 60 / 100 / 150 Power (2 turns, max stacking 1, cannot be dissipated)

Spell Details

  • Blow-Out:
    • How it works:

Interfaces:

  • In macOS Monterey, some system keyboard shortcuts (open the emote panel, start dictating) took precedence over the game and were inappropriately triggered. This issue has now been fixed.
  • It is no longer possible to use Cyrillic characters in your character names. Existing characters are unaffected for now, but they will be forced to choose a new name in a future update.
  • Guild Log: The option "Notify the members of this change" works correctly.
  • In some situations, the "Change character" and "Change server" options took you to the server selection page. This has been fixed.

Spells:

  • The healing effect of "Heals the attacker by X% of damage suffered by the target" can correctly activate triggers based on healing or health received (for example, the Enutrof Mine Fire spell properly triggers the effects of their Firedamp Explosion spell).
  • The spells Placer Mining, Collapse, Hard Cash, and Firedamp Explosion can no longer be incorrectly triggered more than three times during the same turn.
  • The "Free cell" and "Occupied cell" casting conditions have been added and appear in the tooltips for the spells in question.

  • Following the addition of a guild minimum existence restriction to access the guild chest, a transition period was left after Update 2.64 to allow members of young guilds to retrieve items from the chest. In this update, the restriction is being implemented in full, i.e., the chest is no longer accessible whatsoever if the guild is less than 30 days old.
  • A great many scenery problems have been fixed in Sufokia, Brakmar, Bonta, Frigost, Astrub, Cania, Pandala, Otomai, and in some Haven Bags (many thanks again to Loreillo for reporting them!).
