Forum Rules

By May 20, 2009, 03:34:41
Hello everyone. To make the forum a pleasant place to be, please read these rules and follow them. Thanks! smile

  • This forum is not the official Dofus technical support. Technical support is available from Support.
  • Game staff cannot publicly discuss why we sanctioned particular players. Posts discussing your sanctions or the sanctions of other players will be deleted.
  • Stay on topic. Off-topic or spam posts will be deleted. Those who cannot control themselves may see their post count set to 0.
  • Links to any type of click-through advertising, referral games or programs, or other websites of this nature are not permitted anywhere on the forums.
  • If you see someone violating the rules, do not reply to them. Instead, click the report button to contact the moderators. Players who reply to rule-breaking posts will receive the same sanction as the rule-breaker.
  • Do not quote very long posts in their entirety. Instead, just quote the portion you are replying to, or use the reply button and do not quote at all. Please only quote a post when it is not the final post in the thread.
  • Choose informative titles. Threads with uninformative titles (for example, “please read” or “question”) will be edited, closed or deleted as needed.
  • Do not use all capital letters. This is considered shouting, and your post may be locked or deleted.
  • Do not “bump” your posts. Replies with no new content will be deleted.
  • Image macros or image-only posts should be avoided. Any off-topic images will be considered spam and deleted without warning. Similarly, this forum does not allowed the addition of images as signatures to posts.
  • Do not post in threads that are over a month old unless you have something substantially new to add.
  • Do not create multiple copies of the same post or post new topics similar to pinned or popular threads. Please take some time to search for similar topics before posting new ones.
  • Do not post with multiple accounts, nobody likes a sockpuppet. If you have multiple Ankama Games accounts, choose one account for posting on the forums and do not post with the others.
  • Do not post personal information like your account information or e-mail address on the forums.

Accessing and participating in the DOFUS Forum is a privilege offered to the DOFUS subscriber players. However being a subscriber player does not allow you to do whatever you want on the forums. There are rules to respect and those who do not feel like respecting them must be aware that they're exposing themselves to sanctions.

Such sanction can either be a temporary or definitive freezing of their forum access, or the definitive closure of their DOFUS account (according to the offence).

Ankama Games wants to have forums clear of inappropriate contents that could shock or disturb people reading it. That's why there are rules and restrictions for everyone to follow.

Respecting other players, moderators and administrators is an obligation. Insulting, racist, defamatory or xenophobic remarks are strictly forbidden.

It is also forbidden to:
  • flood or pollute the forum with off topic comments.
  • use a "SMS language" (abbreviations are tolerated within a reasonable (comprehensible) limit).
  • promote illegal or pornographic contents.
  • harm (or try to harm) in any ways the integrity of the forum.
  • commit or promote action or omission against the Law or the Terms and Conditions of Use of DOFUS.
  • denouncing inappropriate behaviours by naming the offender on the forums giving his personal details such as his nickname or the name of his character.

Do not answer people who do not respect these rules but try contacting a moderator or an administrator. (You can use the Report button to easily draw attention to a post that breaks the rules)
Do not encourage the offender and do not try to reason with him.

All who don't respect these rules will be banned.
P.S.: The aforementioned rules are not meant to reduce your freedom of speech. To the contrary, they exist for everyone to be able to express themselves and be ensured that they will be treated with respect. Please respect and help the others on this forum and they shall respect and help you back.

If you disagree with these rules, do not post anything on the DOFUS Forum.

Thank you for your understanding.

If you have had a thread or a post within a thread set invisible and you would like it to be set visible again, please contact the mod who set your post invisible. They will let you know if you can edit part of your post to make it ok to set visible again.

As a reminder, the moderation team will set posts invisible if they contain any insults or flames (including insults towards devs, admins, or moderators). We want you to have your say, but you must do it without insults.
