Am I wrong not to go full Wis on my characters?

By Ike-Schneider#9870 - SUBSCRIBER - April 04, 2016, 12:43:37
Here's the thing. I've been an on again off again Dofus player since around 2009. I've started playing again two days ago, a nice Feca as a first character on Rushu.

Now, I've invested his points on Agi, all of them, but I've seen other players go all Wis, with crazy items for Wis (which I'm guessing they got from their other characters).

My question is. Is it not recommended to invest my points on elemental stats early? I don't have the money to buy the scrolls, and I don't even know how much it costs to reset the stat points (and even if I did, I don't know when I should reset them).

Any and all help is appreciated. Help me stop being a noob! biggrin

Hello and welcome back again!

It depends on what you want. If you want to level up as quickly as possible, Wis might be the better choice, but I've never done that so I wouldn't really know.

Personally, I think it's much better to make a build that you want to play, and enjoy every level of it. happy

Here's the thing. I never recomend building wisdom early on, if you don't have knowledge or resources on the game. You should probably level up slowly, and build up your professions and resources. Take your time learning the game and the class.

However, on higher levels, having a good amount of wisdom is great. Taking away 6 AP/4 MP for the entire mob is a lot of fun.

An all-Wisdom build won't speed things up if you don't have enough combat stats to win fights (or to win fights quickly). If you get 50% more XP but your fights take three times as long, you won't be leveling more quickly.

So the question becomes: how much teaming are you planning to do? Being pure Wisdom in group fights (where the other players are doing the majority of the damage) is more practical than going it alone, but if you are playing solo, then you'll want combat stats (primarily, your main stat).

If your having to ask then NO, your not wrong. Fecas work well as wisdom characters but only if you play it strictly as a support/debilitate role, thats why some people will go and stay that route. Another reason people play as full wisdom is simply to level them faster but going full wisdom isn't an option for people who play solo, because full wisdom charaters don't contribute outside of that debilitating role. You need someone to deal damage and ultimately WIN fights for you.
