Form's guide to water sacrier

By formulamonster#3290 March 22, 2011, 20:29:02
Water sacriers are the tanking class and build. They will survive longest, kill enemy groups quickest and level fastest. They will have health that some people can only dream of, potential damage that can rival with iops. Sacriers will charge into battle, being the first to reach the opponents, and the last to fall...

For stats, put everything into vitality. You should try to scroll Chance, Agility and Wisdom.

Spells
I will be presenting spells from a pvp/pvm perceptive, with + being the worst and +++ being the best (I will not talk about spells that we don't need at all)

Notes on Punishments: Punishments will give you 1 stat for 1 hp lost in PvM. In PvP, they will give 1 stat for 2 hp lost. You will only get a certain amount of stats maximum. (Look at your punishments: If it says "punishment of 120", you can only get 120 of that stat per turn.)

Attraction (Level 1)
PvM:++ / PvP:+++
This spell will always be useful. In PvM, it isn't as needed as in PvP because most monsters will run towards you. However, if they do not run towards you, or even if they do run towards you, it will speed up fights. In PvP, a lot of people won't stay close to you and will run and hide, so this will be useful.

Sacrier's foot (Level 1)

PvM:+ /PvP:°
This spell will only be used to reach level 17, but if you're leeching there's no need to level it.

Evasion (Level 3)
PvM° /PvP:++
This spell will make you dodge spells by moving back one cell. In PvM, it will usually be useless, however, in PvP, it will be useful to dodge high damage spells that use cooldown, such as wrath. Sacrifice all your allies on wrath turn and use evasion. This will render wrath useless.

Swap (Level 6)
PvM:++ /PvP:+
This spell will allow you to place yourself, allies and enemies. It will be helpful for certain challenges, for placing yourself for dissolution and for getting closer to someone. It will also allow you to "go through" people.

Nimble punishment (Level 13)
PvM:+++ /PvP:+++
This spell will allow you to dodge and lock opponents. It will be needed against certain monsters that will try running away(eg: Kanigers) and ranged classes. (eg: cra)

Dissolution (Level 17)
PvM:+++ /PvP:+++
This spell is your first water spell. It will be your main spell forever. It will attack all around you, stealing health. In PvM, you will usually be surrounded and thanks to this, you will attack all of the nasty monsters. In group PvP, it will allow you (with help from nimble punishment) to do the same as in PvM. In solo PvP, it will steal health from a single target and deal ok damage, but this spell only reveals its true power when it hits multiple targets. Also, if you're being carried by a panda and you use it, you will hit the panda.

Bold Punishment (Level 21)
PvM:+++ /PvP:+++
Without this, your water spells/weapons will be weak. Thanks to this, you will boost chance and increase your water damage.

Sacrifice (Level 31)

PvM:++ /PvP: ++
When you cast this spell on an ally, you will swap place with the ally whenever he gets hit and you will lose health instead of the ally. This is mostly used in groups, but it can still be used on summons in solo combat (You can use it on a summon).

Vital Punishment (Level 42)
PvM:++ /PvP:++
This spell works like a punishment but it will heal you instead of giving you stats. It can be used in PvM to survive or keep at 50% health (for Punishment). It works the same in PvP (but only heals of half the damage).

Cooperation (Level 48)
PvM:++ /PvP:+++
In PvM, this will allow you to reach the enemies faster. In PvP, it will allow you to swap place with an enemy that is hiding behind something and then casting attraction on him (More on that in the strategy section). In group pvp, you could use this to coop an ennemy so that he can be ganged on by your allies (assuming that you're 3 or more).

Transposition (Level 54)
PvM:++ /PVP:+++
In PvM, this will allow you to swap places with an ally that is close to the monsters. It also applies in PvP, solo or group.

Punishment (Level 60)
PvM:++ /PvP:+++
This spell is the damage spell. With its massive damage (30% of your maximum health when you're at 50% health), this will allwo you to speed through fights, which is why some people stay around half health, just to use this.

Fury
PvM:+++ /PvP:+++
This spell has low range, AoE, damage and gives extra damage. It will be useful for hitting around corners, boosting damage and hitting... yourself. If you can't do anything, use it on an empty cell.

I will add spells as I get them.

Level 1-17
Spells
You do not have a water spell at that level, so you will level Sacrier's Foot to level 5. You will reset it to level 1 at the incarnam inn when you get Dissolution.

Levelling:

Level on monsters in Incarnam, snappers or monsters in the fields. If you have another character, leech yourself.

Equipment:
Wear an Adventurer Set. If you cannot afford it, get a Boon Set (You will get it by completing every Incarnam quest, which will also level you to around 15)

Level 17-31

Spells
You finally have Dissolution! Go to Incarnam inn and reset sacrier's foot to level 1. Level Dissolution to Level 5. When you get Bold Punishment, level it to 5. Then, level Attraction or Nimble Punishment (Level Nimble Punishment if you're planning on running Gobbal Dungeon) to level 5.

What I did:
Levelling

I levelled on groups of Mushds at the Mushd Corner. Use Bold Punishment and Dissolution. The Mushds will quickly surround you and you could hit them all with dissolution. The fights will be fast and you won't need bread.

Equipment
I continued wearing my adventurer set for the wisdom.

What you could do:
Levelling

You could Level on Snappers at the Astrub Rocky Inlet

Equipment
You could wear a Moskito set, fill in the remaining slots with Farmer Set pieces.

Level 31-43
Spells
Level Attraction or Nimble punishment (the one that you didn't level)

Levelling
If you're wearing a moskito set with farmer set pieces, you could run Gobbal dungeon . (with a group or solo). Otherwise, you could level on mushds (in my opinion, these are better).

Equipment
Wear the same stuff as before. At level 38, you could get a prespic set and kill mushds or solo gobbal dungeon. (yes, you can solo gobbal dungeon with a prespic set.)

Level 43-60
Spells
Level 2 of the following spells:
Vital punishment:This will help you live longer. Useful at lower levels, you will probably de-level it later on. (I levelled this)
Cooperation: This spell will allow you to swap place with an ennemy. Very useful in group pvp, it's use isn't amazing in group pvm. In solo pvp/pvm, it can be useful depending on the situtation.
Transposition: This spell will allow you to swap place with an ally, it can also be used on summons. Mediumly useful in solo fights, it could save your teammate's life in group fights.
Punishment: (Recommended) When at 50% health, this will deal 30% of your maximum health. In my level 60 set, I was easily dealing 500 damage with it. A real life saver in pvp, it can also speed up pvm fights by a considerable amount of time.

Equipment
You're finally level 43! You can now wear an akwadala set . Even better, you can get 8 ap. To get 8 ap, you have 2 options:
1)Buy a full akwadala set and reach rank 2. Once you're rank 2, you can wear the akwadala shield. Then, swap your akwadala amulet for a kam assutra amulet.
2)This option will give you 8 ap and 4mp. Get a full ice kwak set , but swap the amulet for a kam assutra amulet. Downside is that you will have to keep a water bwak alive. You will have less wisdom than with an akwadala set, so I prefer the akwa set.

You can also continue wearing your prespic set.

Levelling
If you have 8 ap, you can run gobbal dungeon or you can fight kanigers (with a group). If you have a prespic set, you can fight mushds or run gobbal dungeon. (note: you should stop mushds at level 50)

Level 60-70
Spells
Save your spell points. You'll need them for fury. Level it to 5 as soon as you get it.

Equipment
I know that there are other options available, but I don't think they're very good. I wore a kitsou set , a blue turtle belt , a gelano , jelliboots and a tont'ata staff. You could also use a purrin axe.

Levelling
It's very repetitive, but continue killing kanigerss and running gobbal dungeon.

Level 70-80

You have a choice. Either level Flying sword (you could use transposition on it, it's damage is decent) or level one the spells that you could have levelled during level 43-60.

Here, I wore a Chief Crocodyl Headgear (can be swapped for Sapphire Dreggheadgear). Continue wearing a gelano and use a Chief Crocodyl Bracelet. Get an amulet that gives an AP. I used a Chief Crocodyl Amulet (I happened to have the mats. There are probably better amulets out there). I kept my blue turtle belt. You can continue using a purrin axe. Keep your Orino boots.
You could also keep your old set.

What can I say? Keep killing those kanigers and running gobbal dungeon.

Level 80-113
Spells

At around level 100 delevel Vital Punishment, the 240 health it provides is a small amount for your level. Use the spell points to level spells that I have suggested in the past but make sure that you have enough spell points to level Bold Punishment, Nimble Punishment and Dissolution to level 6 as soon as you get them (15 spells points needed).

Equipment
I recommend wearing a Shika Ingalsse Set (without the staff) with a Gelano and an Axel (or you could get the Shika Staff for one extra MP but less AP). With a level 100 Ginger and Emerald Dragoturkey, this will give you 5MP and 9AP (10 at level 100)

Levelling

Kanigers and Gobbal Dungeon/souls still work but you might consider fighting Stunted Rats in Frigost Village or small mobs of Mastogobs (Try to avoid mastogobblies: They steal agi and you will be unable to lock the rest of the mobs. Their hits are also quite high after a few turns)

I won't for 2 reasons:

1) I'm not an int sacrier
2) I don't usually create builds that are built around a crappy pvp system

Damn. I'd posted up to level 70 but it didn't work. I got this message:

The error returned was:

Because of this, you'll have to wait till tomorrow for the rest of the guide. And it will probably be worse (I'll try not making it worse)

Maybe it's because my guide was too long. It was quite long. I'll post the rest of the guide in a separate post.

My guide is a little longer than yours is (Right now) and I haven't had a problem with the forums yet. I don't see how the length would affect your post :wacko:

Considering this is about chance sacriers, I have one question, my sacrier momentarily uses an almond indigo mount of level 100, I wonder whether it's better to use a level 100 emerald mount which adds the 200 vit and 1 MP that might be useful, however I have 5 MP already. So I'm not really sure what'd be better, the chance or the vitality.

If I needed a mount for fights I'd pick Emerald/Ginger for 1 MP and 300 vitality. I just wear my Minifoux for everything though.

Thanks I've been thinking about that one though they were rather expensive, and as I was using the pure emerald breed for my Osamodas I was thinking about using it on my Sacrier as well. Haha I would use a regular pet if I didn't love my Turkey carrying all those heavy breads around.

Anyway thanks again for the reply.

You shouldn't get crappy exp from gobball dungeon... I levelled there pretty swiftly from 40 - 60. Anyway make sure you do your dopples everyday, they usually give 1 - 2 levels on the lower levels.

Good point.. I should look into pets more, then again I usually prefer the boosts mounts give as they're more diverse.
