Return after 10 Years (Powrót po 10 latach, albo coś koło tego)

By mamidlo#7675 - SUBSCRIBER - May 04, 2019, 15:14:43
Hi guys.
I played Dofus about 10 years ago on the Rosal server. I was one of the highest-ranking Feca, one of the best breeders, etc. Time passes, sentiment encourages me to return to the game, but ... So many changes have happened that I can not get any sense of it. Anyone willing to answer thousands biggrin of questions (preferably via e-mail)? Mostly Polish ...

If nobody answered, I will try to ask some of the most bothering questions instead of a thousand.
My best character, Feca level 193, transferred to the server Echo from the old Rosal after a 10-year break, has character points to spend. The character was once completely scrolled when it comes to statistics (everything at 101). Now I have to issue 960 character points and 1369 additional points. What do these points mean and how do they differ? Do the number of points reflect previous scrolling? Should I just spend these points and look for the scrolls again, and then reset the character? Please, let some Game Master speak authoritatively, because I would like to start - without a false start! And so I am still waiting for the tedious learning of new skills ...

Teraz mam do wydania 960 character points i 1369 additional points.

EDIT
I kind of explained the matter of additional points. In fact, thanks to them, I can raise all statistics to 100 before I use the basic points. It's just that to raise all 6 statistics to 100 I should use 800 points, and I have 1369. Can I use these other points and how? And is it possible to use additional points to raise statistics only to 99, so that after using powerfull scrolli (+2), raise them to 101?

Niby wyjaśniłem sprawę dodatkowych punktów. Faktycznie, dzięki nim mogę podnieść wszystkie statystyki do 100, zanim użyję punktów podstawowych.

Edit: Geez, I didn't notice you posted this six months ago, and probably have gotten back into the groove by now.  I'll leave the response anyway, in case any other old-timers come back. biggrin

The "Additional" points are from your scrolled stats.  They're tracked separately from Characteristic points.  If you add 100 Characteristic points to a stat and 100 Additional points, it'll show as 100+100 when you hover over it.

Additional (or Scroll) points can now only raise a stat by 100, not 101. But since they're traced separately, you don't have to use them first.  You can raise a stat by 100 using Characteristic Points, and still be able to put 100 Scroll points into it afterwards.

Basically: you don't need to use tricks or workarounds anymore to maximize your stats.

Important: converting scrolled stats to Additional points was a one-time thing.  Once you add Additional points, you can never remove them.  Even if you reset your stats, it only resets the Characteristic points.  (You can now also reset stats any time you want while you're subscribed, no magical orbs or Otomai quests required)

All characters now have the same softcaps for all stats: Str/Int/Agi/Cha are 1-for-1 to 100, 2-for-1 from 100 to 200, 3-for-1 at 201 to 300, etc, up to 5-for-1.  Wisdom is always 3-for-1, and Vitality is always 1-for-1.

And a bit on how spells work now, since that's drastically different (and ties into the reason they evened out the stat softcaps):

All character classes can now build in every element.  There's no longer any such thing as Spell Points. Spells get more powerful automatically as you go up in levels.  When you're over level 100, you get Alternate versions of your spells that you can switch between, which can further customize your build.

The old Special spells have been incorporated into the normal leveling spellsThere's a tab for Special Spells, but they're the old Common spells, like Leek Pie, Release, Summoning of Arachnee, etc.  I don't think they've added any new Common spells since you left.

At level 193, you should have all your spells maxed out except for Shiver (which maxes at 194), Paralyzing Glyph (which maxes out at 198), Perception Glyph (which doesn't unlock until 195), and Inertia (which doesn't unlock until 200), so there shouldn't be *too* much tedious unlocking of skills.

Thank you, this helped me actually. I'm also a returning player.
