By triplesword#4162 - FORMER SUBSCRIBER - December 23, 2010, 21:34:07
Hi everyone

1st question: Do Rogues worth buying?

if you can leech the rogue to level 100+ your good to go.
This class needs a huge fix, spells are awkward and bombs got low hp.
You should wait it out.

I hated them but I know some people that like them. Check out how they play and see for yourself.

It's not worth buying because what you're buying is a few months of extra play... everyone, even f2p, can play them when April comes.

I don't see how. A lot of players don't like them anyway..

2 euro is not that much compared to waiting until April.

So I would say yes. 2 euro is worth it. Just because 2 euro ain't that much in the first place.

In my opinion, the question should be, do you like to play the newest class for 2 euro? (or 700 ogrine if you prefer it)

I find that Rogue spells work better if you level several different spells that work together, rather than raising one spell to level 5, then another spell to level 5, like you do for most classes. Kickback and Detonate work together, and their bombs should be your primary weapon, not their other attacks. Intelligence Rogues have the most raw power and a life-stealing spell. Agility Rogues have the most maneuverability (since they can slip out of dodge-locks easier) and their spells steal MP. Chance Rogues are AP-stealers, but get their spells later than the other types.

If you can build a wall before the enemies get to you, all the better. A single bomb is not going to do very impressive damage, but three bombs, kicked into place, all hitting a single target, can be devastating. If you can't, even having two bombs of the same type near each other gives you a huge damage bonus when they explode. Generally, learn to position your bombs if you don't want to die.

Rogues are not Superman, rushing in and punching the opponent in the face. They're Batman, and they need time to plan and room to maneuver if they want to be successful.

They're a very tricky class, not straightforward at all, and I don't think I've even begun to get all their nuances, but they're a lot of fun to play. There's something very satisfying in setting up a trio of bombs, waiting for an opponent to get into range, and then setting them off at just the right moment.

It was fun and a great experience at first, then you snapped out of it and noticed leveling it
takes A LOT of thinking and strategic play. Half of the time where I messed up 1 turn I disrupted the battle system.

(for example. fighting a warchief you are low leveled, 10 hp bomb. You start too close, it attacks you, you can't just place a bomb and detonate it and even if you kick it away it'll attack you. what happens then is this; you place a bomb, it attacks it, walks back to you, you repeat this several 50 times in the hopes of getting out of your locked position. The important part of this PERSONAL EXPERIENCE is that you have alot to worry about as a rogue. avoid being locked in, avoid attacking monsters close range because you are suffering twice as much as your enemy - your own hit + his/hers. in my opinion an eniripsa would be easy to level in comparison..)

Please, don't troll. You understood the question, just answer it, some people on the international server don't speak English as their first language.

As for your question, it's all about opinion. If you like to group (or you multi account), then this class is pretty good. Don't expect to solo much with your Rogue, though.

I dont know what you are talking about. Rogues are pretty good solo. That's how they were designed.

This is just mean, I'm sorry you feel the need to point out someone else's mistake to make yourself feel better.

rogues aren't really my cup of tea, l dis like the class, and the tactics and spells are a bit all over the place for me. You need to be a good thinker to play a rogue, unlike me, (ill stick to my plain old str sadi smile ), if l had the choice again of spending 700 ogrines or waiting until l got other peoples feed back then id probably wait till they fix rogues up a bit, and wait until everyone can play them what id do. I think ill like masqueraider a lot better.

Rogues can be played solo but will be limited in lots of ways. you will be too far from your bombs and will not be able to trigger them, or your enemy will be out of range. You'll have to rely on your teammates to push your opponents into your bombs! Quoted from the rogue page on the dofus website. While l agree you can solo with a rogue very well, they seem to be a very "team player" class.
