[GUILD] Silk Road is now recruiting English speaking players.
By MA-Abandonego#7607 - SUBSCRIBER - October 21, 2017, 04:05:07Hello all!
This post is to help inform those interested in learning about and joining this brand new guild on the Ilyzaelle server.
First, I'd like to introduce myself. My in-game name is Abandonego and during my free time, despite my partner hating my hermit life, I game game and game. I always have and most likely always will. Gaming is a form a stress relief as we all know it and I'm magnetized to it and everyone else who plays games with me for the same reason, fun. Community building on this platform has also been an interest of mine for quite some time. If it's administering a 50+ CoD community, leading a 500-man ESO clan, or giving a helping hand to Rust official servers, I am in. And now, I am beginning another task and adventure with this Dofus guild.
Silk Road is a guild that I aspire to grow bottom-up into a guild that represents the English-speaking community in few ways. It is meant to represent the gamer that can be hardcore, that can be casual, that can be knowledgeable or be a newbie, that can be all those things AND that is a respectful, polite, and positive person. Silk Road is a guild meant to break bridges between players and function as a community able to play together through camaraderie and service.
I deeply understand that the gaming world is full of all types of individuals and that not everyone is willing to join a guild like this, but if you are reading this and interested in giving Silk Road a try, please reach out to me!
See you in game!

I just wanted to keep those who may be interested, updated on the progress of Silk Road.
We currently house 100 members on Illyzaelle, give or take. Of those 100 members, 80 members remain active. I do plan on reaching out to those who are MIA to find out if they will continue to play. The guild is also level 15 and has an average level of about 45.
As the guild grows and members settle in, we have also incorporated our set of rules to help avoid complications, if any. Here are our rules as of now:
1. Be respectful/polite to guild members and non-guild members. This rule isn't meant to moderate chat or behavior on a micro level, but meant to avoid drama caused by aggression, disrespect or hurt feelings.
2. Do not scam or screw over another guild member.
3. No Racism, No Sexism, No Homophobia, No Exceptions. This includes ill-intended use of terminology and some terms all together.
Aside from rules, Silk Road has managed to successfully host a couple guild giveaways within the last couple weeks to promote and encourage team work between guildies, and will continue to do so. As of now, any member may reach out and give another member a shout out for their friendliness/camaraderie or helpfulness/service and in return, the guild will reach out to those members on a biweekly basis to hand out prizes and rewards. In addition, guild members (special shout out to Caddy) have hosted their own giveaways within Silk Road, promoting donations in experience and guild activity and hopefully will continue to do so as the guild lives and breathes.
Silk Road has evolved and continues to evolve accordingly to what our members seek. As of now, we are a friendly community of level-headed players who aren't rushing the game to complete server-firsts, but instead focusing on helping each other on our own quests, hunts, dungeons, gear and accommodating as much as possible to each member's progression including our own.
Silk Road is also currently searching for an alliance with like-minded guilds and people. We are aware that a strong alliance is highly desirable by our members due to advantages that come along with conquering territories, but our members are even more interested in being part of an alliance where the guilds involved are simply cooperating and communicating, and I know as a fact other guilds are interested in this as well. So let this be a message to other English-speaking guilds that Silk Road is interested in an English-speaking alliance and are more than willing to cooperate with you to create one or join one!
If you are interested in being a part of Silk Road, please reach out to me, or join our Discord. Otherwise feel free to lurk around and tune in on our future updates with Silk Road. ^^

Hello again ladies and gentlemen!
I'm excited to say that Silk Road is a few days away from being two months old! As a proud fath.. I mean founder, I can expect to see developed motor skills and senses, sleep patterns evolving, our guild communicating through crying and.. ..
..wait
..what?
Silk Road is now level 37 and has nearly doubled in activity and increased it's average level to a whopping 70. Members are progressing at their own pace through the unforgiving, very-rewarding, non-multi box environment that our lovely mono-server provides to us. We hover around 150 members due to the desperate attempt of providing room to newcomers so that they may be a part of and take advantage of our immersive community. And on that note, we have incorporate a new rule:
4. Please notify the guild if you are planning to be away for weeks at a time to avoid the misunderstanding that you may have quit playing on Ilyzaelle on your character. Players M.I.A. for 3 or more weeks are at risk of having their positions replaced with newcomers due to the constant interest from our English-community.
Until recently, I've began to send Ankabox mail to those individuals who have been unfortunately discharged. Let this be a message to those who did not receive one: Please be more than welcome to reach out to me or anyone in Silk Road to be re-invited. I want you back! I WANT YOU BACK! I'M SORRY FOR WHAT I'VE DONE! I LUV U! ;_;
Silk Road continues to be a very interactive and friendly guild with amazing members who take the time to look at your test builds and share their opinions, to reach out to its members and assist with their needed achievements and quests, to share their experiences and findings within our new update 2.45, to trade within themselves and provide each other professional services kappa, and much much more. In addition to that, behind the scenes, our self-proclaimed leadership and I are constantly trying to think of new ways to improve the quality of guild-life. We have a Christmas Raffle coming up, we're refining our online resources and tools daily, and most importantly we're trying our absolute best to pay close attention to what Silk Road wants and needs now and in the future.
Finally, even further behind the scenes, behind the Guild, behind the discord, across the street, under the bridge.. are four little trolls with a vision and desire for a larger and more defined community. It's a project that is in the works and we really wish to see come to fruition. Stay tuned and lurk around to see what is yet to come for Silk Road! ^^
Especially that narius-ziro fella, he is the best
We're about four months in and still kicking and screaming! Silk Road continues to house 160+ members for about two months now and maintains excellent activity as we reach an average member level of 100! Our community discord also houses 135+ members and remains incredibly active. Not too long ago, Silk Road has also created an English-speaking alliance named Unity [UNI] alongside our partners in the guilds Proxima Centauri, Honor Guard, The Juicy Steaks, and Oyasumi and will continue to be on the look out for other English-speaking guilds so we may provide our community additional resources and tools to stay connected. If you are currently leading or are part of a guild searching for an alliance such as ours, please feel free to contact me or other leadership within Unity so we may chat!
Silk Road is also very excited to learn about the merger of mono-account servers! This means we'll all be meeting and interacting with new intergalactic English-speaking faces soon enough when our worlds collide. Personally, depending on how the merger pans out, I'm very excited to meet the folk in the guild Ruby in the server Lacrima; I've heard and read many good things about you guys!
The [SR] Community wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day with some community created content and my pathetic dad jokes. Enjoy!
We also have an academy guild for alts that is in the alliance so we can all stay connected no matter what character we are on (without taking up space in the main guild)
It does not matter if you are brand new or been playing for 15 years, Silk Road and Unity is the place for you.
edit: nevermind! got an invite.
