THE weekly event has arrived! Djinn and Logan for the first part, followed by Kewl for the question-and-answer portion, are back to share more updates about Temporis IV, and to answer your questions as well. Watch the replay!

Forget everything you know. Temporis IV is right on time to set things straight!

A magic wind is blowing over the World of Twelve, and class spells are getting all mixed up in an unstoppable storm! At this very moment, thousands of you are clobbering monsters and collecting new spells to try and build the perfect deck.

Every week, Djinn and Logan take a deep dive into the Temporis servers to see what you've been doing. It's time to see if you've risen to the challenge!

Temporis IV:
 

Has the Tempoken leaderboard been fixed?

We'd like to resolve this issue, but unfortunately we haven't had a chance to fix the problems with the Tempoken leaderboard. We'll do everything we can to fix this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, we'll look for another way to provide you with the top 100 Tempoken leaderboard.
 

What mission is the easiest for farming Tempokens?

It really depends on your play style and your level. There's no miracle solution!
 

Why aren't there any PvP rewards in Temporis?

That isn't entirely true; the winners of the end-of-server tournament will earn an exclusive Grifforis skin! As for the more common type of PvP, we had wanted to include the Kolossium and set related objectives; however, this would have required a lot of development, and we had to make certain choices to ensure you would get this Temporis without major delays.
 

Is there still a bug related to earning Dark Ray?

No, this issue was fixed during maintenance this morning (05/26).
 

Why isn't there an achievement leaderboard in Temporis?

Temporis is a different kind of experience; if you've rushed through the achievements, you'll have a much easier time doing them, and more importantly, you won't have any new content. With Temporis and the Tempoken leaderboard, we're starting with a clean slate while making it possible to set objectives related to most aspects of this server.
 

Why wasn't breeding included in Temporis?

Breeding takes time, so we opted to leave it out of this temporary server. Rather than focus on this mechanic, we wanted to showcase other facets of the game that are a better fit for this Temporis.

 

DOFUS 2:

When will there be another class balancing update?

We're planning on an update sometime this year that will include changes to certain classes.
However, it's important to understand that balancing is a guiding principle. We can't balance all 18 classes at the same time. Besides, not every class would need to be completely reworked. Sometimes it's a matter of changing a few values to make the class more competitive. Other times, more work is required. We've been continuously working on balancing, and we'll continue to do so.
As for all the questions about things being buffed or nerfed, be aware that our game designers work on this every day. We'll announce any balancing changes required, along with the affected classes, when the time comes.
 

Are there plans to nerf the Corruption cloak?

Not currently, no. Our teams remain responsive, and if a change becomes necessary, it will be made.
 

Are you planning to add a system to search for groups?

This is not a priority for us at the moment. It does make sense now, especially on the single-account servers, but it would take a very long time to develop. Therefore, we've decided to prioritize other development directions, which is why we're not planning to do this for now. It will be added one day, but not in the short term.
 

Why don't you set up a system with a "Report" button?

This is a big topic. Between bot reports and player reports, it's quite complicated. We recommend that you use the usual methods, like contacting moderators through Ankabox.
Unfortunately, there's no easy solution to this complex subject. We're currently testing a new system in DOFUS Retro. If this system works, we can unlock more things after that.
We know that organized groups of players could target other players through this system, which would lead to negative side effects. Also, it's not simply a matter of integrating a button; there would be a whole set of variables to consider, monitor, and automate, not to mention the massive amount of data to be processed that would pile up. It would simply drown the system. For the time being, we encourage you to contact the moderators through Ankabox as needed.
 

When will there be a new divine dimension?

Not anytime soon! That's not to say it won't happen down the road; we just don't have any current plans for it.
 

Are there new ornaments planned for Omega levels?

Nothing is planned at this point.
 

Will it be possible to transfer from Jahash to other servers?

For the time being, nothing is planned in terms of transfers to or from Jahash. Single-account servers have a specific economy that we want to preserve as much as possible, along with the economy of other servers.
 

Will the event scheduled for early June for the future update be postponed to mid-June or cancelled outright?

We talked about the event planned for Pandala in the first part; unfortunately, this event has been cancelled. It had been intended to introduce the new update, and therefore the Pandala revamp; however, since the revamp will go live before we'd be able to set up the event, the event no longer serves any purpose. We're sorry you won't get to experience this.
 

Have you planned anything to revitalize Infinite Dreams at 400 and up?

This question implies that the Dreams area at 400 and up has become irrelevant. Yet our numbers indicate the opposite. Since changes were made to the Dreams, the numbers show many more higher-level players in this area than before. Most players therefore seem to be satisfied with the recent changes.
 

Could there ever be fights with more than 8 characters?

There are no plans for this right now.
 

Is there a new class planned for the near future?

This is not one of our current projects, and it's not planned for the medium term either. For now we'd rather invest time in balancing the 18 existing classes.
 

Are there plans for a tournament system similar to Goultarminator?

No, that's not on our agenda.
 

Why do you do maintenance in the morning?

Like you, we are subject to specific schedules, and the morning, as opposed to the evening, is a time when we can assign the necessary teams if any issues arise during an update. There is also less activity on the servers in the morning. Finally, performing maintenance in the morning gives us time to take action and roll things back in the afternoon if there are any issues.
 

Are you planning to merge Eratz and Henual?

No, that's not on the agenda. These servers have very different histories and economies, and merging them wouldn't satisfy their respective players.
 

Will changes be made to legendary pets? And when will mounts get the legendary power that was announced?

Players are unhappy with pet powers – some think they're too hard to get, or that the bonuses are underpowered – so we've set this aside for now, along with legendary powers for mounts. It's possible that we'll revisit this later, but for the time being, we're letting it go so we can focus on other projects.
 

Will there be any new content in Vulkania this year?

No, we're focusing on Pandala this year.
 

Will there be a new Dofus with the Pandala revamp?

For now this is still confidential; we'll be sharing more about Pandala very soon.
 

Are you planning to overhaul AvA?

Yes, we already announced this in the KrosmoNote. We will be reworking all the social aspects of the game – so, not just AvA, but groups and guilds as well. We'll give you more information as needed.
 

Will it be possible to apply globally pre-sentient potions to petsmounts soon?

This isn't an option right now, but it could be added some day.
 

Will voice chat be added to DOFUS?

This isn't planned for DOFUS 2, but we're working on it for WAVEN, which means it could possibly be transferred to DOFUS Unity, although there are no guarantees at this point.

 

DOFUS Retro:

Is there a new date for the DOFUS Retro merger?

We're hoping to schedule a new date soon to merge the Retro servers into three new servers! We're waiting for things to return to normal to some degree. We're in a transitional phase with server economies, and we hear your concerns. With the merger approaching, people are withholding sales, which hinders activity in the marketplace. With a little patience, after the merger, everything will return to normal and the economy will recover and be much more active!

As a reminder, the purpose of this delay is to ensure that this merger goes smoothly, under the best possible conditions. It's important to remember that DOFUS Retro is a version that came before all the tools we've developed for server mergers. This means that the process of establishing optimal conditions to complete this merger involves a lot of complex work.
No one wants a merger where just 25% of the players log in during the first two hours and buy up all the available items right after the servers open.
We could start merging servers now, but there's absolutely no guarantee that this would work out.
In addition, with the current population on the servers, it's not necessarily in our interest to rush the merger. We can't easily re-merge servers that have already been merged. So it's better to wait for things to go completely back to normal before proceeding with the merger.

When we have more information about the merger date, we'll announce this on the website.
 

Will Grozilla and Grasmera be back this summer?

There's a lot we want to do, especially dealing with event bosses that we'd like to bring back… We won't say more at this point, but there are definitely things we want to do again.
 

Are Retro services coming soon?

They may arrive as soon as tomorrow (05/27), but this is not guaranteed yet. Details will be posted on the website when everything is set.
 

A single-account server in Retro?

There's nothing planned for the time being. That said, we remain attentive to what you want, and if we decide to launch one, you'll be the first to know.
 

Why hasn't the Retro team been introduced to the community?

We used to introduce teams to the community, but unfortunately, not everyone in the community is friendly and well-meaning. We no longer introduce our teams to the community because, in some instances, these introductions may result in the teams or team members being personally attacked. In addition, the people who work at Ankama, as with any other company, may decide to leave in order to pursue other adventures, which is perfectly normal.  Every time someone identified as a team member would leave, the community saw this as catastrophic. We'd be treated to a heartbreaking farewell on the forums, and then everyone would say, "It's over, the project is dead…"; "Nobody's working on this project anymore."; "Ankama is dead!", etc. So we made the decision to stop identifying the teams as much in order to protect our employees and projects, as well as to protect you, since we know how sad you are when one of us leaves!
We all work together closely, and projects don't die as long as there are people working on it, plain and simple!
In short, the Retro team won't be introduced, as this wouldn't serve any purpose. What you care about is the project, and so we'll talk about the project, not the people.
 

Are you planning to add a leaderboard to Retro?

Unfortunately, this is not a priority. It could be added some day, but we have many other things to implement beforehand. The merger is a top priority, of course.
Also, we'd need to consider what form the leaderboard will take, whether to base it on experience or something else, etc. This would allow us to introduce other competitive formats in Retro! But it's not on the table right now.

 

Other:

When will the Krosmaga update arrive?

This is a delicate subject for us. Working with the community on this update took us much longer than we expected. Between the lengthy analysis of player feedback, then the application of this feedback by the game designers, it's requiring a great deal of development time. And then being hit by the quarantine caused the delays to keep piling up.
We don't have a release date for the new update yet, but what we can tell you is that we're still working on it! This project has not been abandoned. We hope to move forward with this effectively, as soon as we're able to figure things out, after this lockdown is over.
 

Will the end of Flash impact DOFUS?

We too have been hearing regularly that Flash will no longer be maintained. There is some confusion between the end of maintenance for Flash and the end of DOFUS.  It's true that this technology will no longer be supported, but this doesn't mean that applications like DOFUS will disappear overnight. The applications will remain, but we're already working on solutions, especially with the DOFUS Unity project, and we're working to adapt our engine so that it's sustainable. In summary, there's no cause for alarm; the "end" of Flash won't cause DOFUS to shut down overnight.
