Frequent disconnection

Hello everyone,

for weeks now i've been having problems playing. After I log in I get disconnected and sent to character selection randomly. I don't think it has to be an issue with my internet connection since I can play any other game without any problems. What should I check or do to avoid this?

I'm sorry to hear that.
It is important to make sure to always be on a reliable connection and to deactivate all proxies/VPN when trying to access the game. I also recommend you check your firewall settings to make sure this is not causing connection issues.

I have the same problems, also for several weeks.

Sometimes I have several disconnections and reconnections in less than a minute, sometimes everything runs stable for a while (about 30 minutes). It doesn't affect all my characters though, and there is no pattern in individual characters losing connection: Sometimes the character who is fighting gets disconnected, sometimes the character who is not fighting gets disconnected, and the other one stays in game (so it doesn't seem to be due to the internet connection.). In rare cases the screen goes black, but much more often there are disconnections with immediate reconnection.

Occasionally this problem is also reported in the French forum, but it seems to affect too few players:

I have no idea what to do...

edit: clearing the cache, using the repair-button and re-installing the game did not solve the problem

It's really frustrating! I can't do anything since I know I will get disconnected. I hope Ankama answers at least...

Apparently, it's a problem with the German Telekom. I have asked German friends and they have the same issue as me. I have seen something similar on the french forum about Orange BE, I think it's the same issue.

Hello, 

I have the same issue as the two people above me. Another friend of mine has the issue too. It has to do something with the server between Ankama Servers and the internet provider "Telekom". This issue exist since nearly a month now and yet it couldnt get fixed. I contacted my internet provider but they have no way to fix it. It has to be done by ankama himself. So it might be worth to look at what happened 1 month ago that telekom and ankama server are not working well together.

thanks for the further informations/investigations! My internet provider is also the German Telekom.

But I'm not sure, if there is another condition besides the internet provider; most of the alliance-members I speak to are german players, but don't struggle with this problem... (but maybe they have another internet provider?)

I also contacted the support a few days ago.

I asked a friend who lives in another town and plays dofus aswell has the same issues and his internet provider is also telekom. So im 100% sure it has to do something with telekom internet and ankama server

I don't have any problems myself, but recently talked to someone who had frequent disconnects.
That dude suspected it might be Telekom related too.
He said Ankama is using Cloudflare as a proxy (as DDoS-protection and whatnot) and some internet-providers sometimes cause routing problems with cloudflare ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As this doesn't concern me I'm not going to file a support-ticket, but maybe someone who does, might want to include this information idk.

It's disappointing how Ankama does not reply or if they do they just throw at us some generic, pre-saved texts. A huge portion of German players are having this same problem, can you try and do something? [Sujet Unique] Déconnexion intempestives (OrangeBE) - Forum - DOFUS, le MMORPG stratégique.

I have got the same problem on all 7 accounts, also since about one month. Also Telekom.
(Not really) happy to see that there is some kind of tech talk going on.
The given answer to my ticket in a nutshell: check your internet connection.
Have also tried all well known procedures like: clearing cache, complete new setup of the game, router reboot, deactivating win10 firewall and so one ... and of course : nothing helps.
The forced reboots appears by any given situation: no matter if there are laggs or the client runs effortless ore running other net-based tasks which might effekt the internet bandwith.
All in all: THIS makes any lvl 200 activity meaningless.
18 years Dofus comes to an end.

same here; given answer to my ticket: check your internet connection; someone ingame told me that it could be an issue with Cloudflare and the German Telekom (and so wrote Fowl-Manor in this thread); I spoke to some other german players with German Telekom as their internet provider, but they don't have any disconnection problems, so another condition has to be met; it would be interesting to know, if the players with OrangeBE/OrangeFR as their internet provider did get any help or if their problems were solved

I found a simple solution gladly when I been running through telekom forum. https://1.1.1.1/ This is a cloudflare warp from cloudflare himself. It will slow down ur internet for a little bit but you will not get disconnected from it. Im using it right now since 2 hours and I had no dc so far. Cloudflair WARP worked pretty well for 2 days - now the exactly same problems again.
