Unable to login - Server taking too long to respond

Is there a problem with the servers because for hours I have been unable to login I keep getting the notice:

CAUTION
The server is taking too long to respond, and may be unavailable
Wait Interrupt

I've tried multiple times the "Connect with Launcher", "wait" and "interrupt" option. Ive tried "Exit Dofus" then closing the Launcher completely and reopening again, I've even tried restarting my PC and I still cant get on, its been over 4 hours now.

Hello!

Bouygues Telecom is a French ISP that many players are on. Because of connection issues coming from this ISP, multiple players were trying to reconnect at the same time to bypass the issues, which ended up affecting all players regardless of ISP because many requests were being sent at once to the connection server.

With no notice, theres nothing about a maintenance on the forums, Facebook or Twitter, its just out of nowhere. Ankama hasnt let us know about it at all.

I can't get in, but my husband in the other room was playing just fine, so I guess if you're already in the game you get to keep playing through the maintenance haha

I couldnt get on for over 7 hours last time.
Todays issues have been for around an hour so far.
Ankama are blaming Bouygues Telecom ISP but unclear if Bouygues Telecom are their Internet Service Provider or if theyre claiming those who use Bouygues Telecom are the ones experiencing the problem. Personally Im not on Bouygues Telecom, not even British Telecom internet so dont see how it could be my end.
But what did they expect?
They merged servers = higher connection requests per server
and with everyone trying to get on not just for the new additions/changes from the 2.67 update, but also the Fleaster Island event too.
