Infuriating - unable to log in, again

I have been a Dofus subscriber for over 10 years. In the last two years I have played very little, but I still keep a subscription just for the fun of it. However, it is infuriating that half of the times I want to log in, I simply cannot. A couple of days ago I was logging in just fine, today I can't log in anymore. Dofus' status messages say nothing informative, there is no official source to debug this, it is always a maze trying to figure out what exactly is wrong this time.

Please, just please, either find a way to make it easy to log in or at least provide useful links of this very common problem. It has been more than two years that people complain about log in problems, it can't be that hard to summarize official information in a single place and link it to us.

I gave up trying to log in for today, maybe next month when I have the time again I will try to see if I can play the game I pay for.

Quick update: 3+ months later, I still have not been able to log in ONCE. My subscription time has been deduced by 3 months, of course, as if the game was letting me play it just because I am paying for it...

The error message just says "The server is taking too long to respond, and may be unavailable."
The server is online, working fine. My internet is extremely fast. Those are not the issues.
I have tried and successfully been able to log in to Dofus Retro. So this problem is exclusive to 2.69.

I have added "Ankama Launcher.exe", "Dofus.exe" and "Dofus Retro.exe" paths to my firewall exception list, as other players explained how to do it on youtube, since Ankama does not provide a tutorial. It still does not work, though. I have also tried disabling my firewalls, and it still does not work. I have also unistalled the game, ran Ccleaner, and installed again. Still does not work.

So many games do anything they can to bring in players, Ankama and Dofus seems to be the only one actively trying to make us give up on playing.

Hi, have you tried to change the connection port in the launcher? It' the 'Game Options' tab under the play button.
