I get the same issue. CPU is at 100% for minutes at a time with no progress.  It's stuck on the initialization step. Nothing written to the application.log during this time. Screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/R5DzlL1

Edit to add, it's a known issue, according to the French forums: https://www.dofus.com/fr/forum/1891-bugs-beta-2-70/2398524-bug-eac-linux

Edit several days later: adding the wine repository and updating to wine-staging-8.20 worked for me (64 bit option in launcher). Ubuntu 22.04.

Had same problem, switching to 64 bit version fixed the problem for me

Switching to 64 bit makes the anticheat initialization work, but the game won't launch.

Same here,

on 32 bit it is stuck at Initialisation.
on 64 bit it is getting past that but nothing else is happening.

(i usually play dofus at 64 bit so that is not the concern, i got 64 bit wine running...)

wine-vanilla-8.0.2 * (main)

  ---------------------------------------------------- Edit:

Installing wine-staging-8.20 running 64 bit does the trick for me!

But its stuck now at "Connect with Lancher" and "The server is taking to long to respond". Not sure its about the server or my client smile

i am ok with dropping linux support until Unity but locking out virtual machines will render me entierly unable to play this game (most linux people are playing windows games with unraid, kvm and so on using pcie passthrough running a VM so we dont need to dual boot)

If it helps you, I'm running 6.0 Wine, Linux Mint 21.1.
Only thing I changed was to 64 bit version, everything else is default Ankama config, and it works fine, maybe try to install 6.0 Wine and see if it helps

Hello and thanks for your help!
Wine 6 is that ancient that i am unable to install it due to dependencies. There must be an other way, funny that it works for you, though! biggrin

Hello,

Our teams are working to ensure Easy Anti-Cheat's compatibility with Wine so that our Linux players can continue playing DOFUS. We unfortunately don't have a solution at the moment, but any information is useful in our investigations and in finding a resolution for this issue.

Thank you all for your understanding.

I installed Wine-staging-8.2.1 on my gentoo and still can't log in. It looks like it cannot connect to server. Probally not an Anticheat issue? Could be related to smth with sockets or smth else. At least i managed to hide virtual machine status at my windows VM, hosted in linux, so i can play that way biggrin
