Can not log in.

When I try to open up the Beta, the Anti Cheat thing opens up, shows it's loading, gets to 100% than just says Anti Cheat not downloaded and can't be opened.

I found the installer file in the game folder and tried to run it as administrator but nothing happens after I click "yes". Does the Anti Cheat thing just not work on Lenovos or something?

Hello,

When trying to start the beta, were you prompted to install Epic Easy Anti Cheat?

If not, you will need to install it manually. You can do so by following these steps (found on the Epic Games website):

Navigate to the EasyAntiCheat folder in your game's install directory.
Note: The default location is C:\Users\AppData\Local\Ankama\Dofus-beta\EasyAntiCheat

EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe

Note: Do not just drag the icon to your desktop. Make sure you follow the steps below exactly. Otherwise, it will not work.

Right-click the file and select Create shortcut
Right-click the shortcut and select Properties
In the Target box, after the existing text, add the words "install prod-fn" without quotes. The end of the text should now look like: EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install prod-fn

Note:

Please let me know if that doesn't work so we can investigate!

Looks like this Anti-Cheat doesn't work on linux (wine)

Trying to run Dofus beta in my KVM Windows Virtual Machine it is complaining about "Cannot run under Virtual Machine".

Please fix it til release or you are going to lock me out.

Looks like bots finally destroyed the game for me biggrin

So I did get it to work eventually after moving a ton of stuff around and messing with files with no clue what I was doing. I will say though, I don't believe that I'm entering the game using the Anti cheat thing, pretty sure I accidently slipped past it somehow :S

Is the Easy AC software safe to use? I don't normally like installing extra third party software for games on my computer, especially when application files may not be automatically updated.

I am still having issues loading Beta, says I do not have Easy Anti cheat installed, I cannot find the file with "exe" on it. Im installing fortnite as someone suggest that and it will install Easy anti cheat and run Dofus properly. Doesn't seem like this new system is working XD

Hey Delu, the exe file is also the main logo blue application icon for the Easy Anti-Cheat, you can find this easier via the rightmost gear button under 'Play' in the Ankama Launcher for Dofus as well.
Game Options>Game Folder>Game Folder(Open the Game Folder, the top selection).

Although first make sure you are browsing the Dofus Beta folders, rather than the non-Beta version of Dofus. By ensuring the 'Ankama' topic in your left search bar at the top and navigate to Dofus Beta. As of the date of this post, Easy Anti-Cheat is not live yet.

You should see a folder for Easy Anti-Cheat.
In here, you will find the blue application icon mentioned. (Which is their main logo of a panda.) Right-click the icon and create shortcut, this will copy the application launcher as a shortcut. Afterwards Right-click the created shortcut and go to 'Properties'. You copy ''install prod-fn'' in the [Target] box as mentioned, removing the apostrophes.

On the Beta I was met with a failure on install of what is termed "anti cheat", it informs me that my operating system does not not have the latest updates. Seeing as I use Windows 7 Pro I am stuffed if this prevents me from logging in, as Windows 7 updates, as far as I am aware, stopped many moons ago.

Now I hear all you keen as mustard types yelling "update to windows 10 or 11!". I unfortunately had to deal with this malware on a professional basis and have absolutely no desire to install it. Yes it did install itself but it was quickly removed, as I prefer my PC to work when I want it to, not at the bequest of Bill and his erstwhile employees.

My question is, if I choose not to or cannot install the spyware known as "Anti Cheat" am I effectively banned for being a potential bot? If so another customer wanders into the sunset to give their hard earned coin to some other business, that is not hell bent on excluding us old grumpy stick in the muds?
