[Contest] Al Howin Costume Ball

Autumn is here, and as the leaves fall from the trees and the air turns crisp and cold, dark things are stirring in the shadowy corners of the World of Twelve. Soon, Al Howin will open the iron gates to his weatherbeaten mansion, and all the scary creatures will gather for the malevolent and magnificent Al Howin Ball!

To attend, you'll need a disguise to shield your identity from the other ghosts and ghoulies on the dance floor, so it's time to get spoopy!

[size=20]The Gist[/size]

The purpose of this contest is to design a Halloween costume set that a DOFUS character could wear and post an image of that costume.

You can draw the costume on a screenshot of a character (as shown in the example below), or create a sketch, painting, or drawing of your character in costume in the medium of your choice (including digital design and painting programs).

Alternatively, you may create a photo collage using screenshots and images, also shown in the examples below.

You may also post descriptions of the items or the set with your image, but it is not required. Entries will be judged on their originality, creativity, humor, and overall quality.

[size=20]The Prizes[/size]

There will be six winners chosen, three from the "illustration and drawing" category and three from the "digital manipulation and photo collage" category.

All six winners will receive the Paint Emote, and will be given a special avatar of their artwork on the forums.

[size=20]The Deadline[/size]

You have until 10 AM (Paris time) on November 6, 2015 to post your entry to this thread. As usual, entries containing offensive material like racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, or other content that is in violation of the Terms and Conditions will be removed without warning.

One entry per person, group entries will not be permitted for this contest.

I was wondering if I'm also supposed to add a description to the set pieces? It didn't mention anything about it on your post, but in the image your picture had a description.

You may include a description of your items if you wish to do so (because it's kind of fun), but it's not required, your entry is perfectly fine as it is. =)

If these images are spoopy, are French pancakes creppy? No offense intended. it's a joke. Can we mimi something and screenshot it? or is this a drawing contest? I could get some crayons and think of Chafer / Scaraleaves hybrids. or is this something that our classes have to wear? Maybe we could bring some Scurvion blood and Snailmet slobber in a vat where we'd have to go bobbing for Toadkins at the ball? I am sure that the Fecas attending would have to cast some Barricade on the Srams to prevent their bones from getting stained in the vat or have an Eni nearby for a Word of Youth when a Sadi gets some Toxic Necrotick Juice in it's fur.

As shown in the example images in the original post, this is not a contest where you use items that are already in the game to make your costume, you must create an original costume.

You can do that by drawing your character, or, by taking a screenshot of a character without any equipment and using photo-editing software to add a costume to that screenshot. =)

I got bored and figured I might as well try and enter. Mixed my character with one of the manga I'm reading right now and it turned out pretty nice. A sloppy sketch right now, really, but if the competition gets tough I'll try to ink it out (I hate inking stuff).

I call it the Lost Soul set.

Hi everyone, there are already very nice entries. I am here to share this drawing of my lovely Ecaflip in her Al Hoween costume. cool

Vampyre Wings - The count Drac-ula was wearing these to fool his pray making them believe he was a lovely eniripsa. You can feel the evil !
Bat-Belt - Originally used as a mask it has now lost its main purpose and is only good as a belt.
Fake Teeth - Be careful they might get stuck in an apple !
