Contrary to most peoples opinion, I actually like the new looks. I think it's thematically pleasing to start the fight looking normal and being beaten down until you're nothing more than veins. It is a little uninspiring since it's a very literal design philosophy but I can get used to it. Also, losing the strength build is disappointing I would have much rather chance get axed personally. Overall I have faith in this and can't wait to play the beta.

I remain unconvinced that the character being proposed is still a Sacrier.
I want to point out that you can see the developers intent by looking at the designs. This levitating, mystical, state changing Sacrier is far off from the original, simple class. The Sacrier's identity is defined by the high hp, the lifesteal, the masochist attitude, and simplicity. The saving grace of this particular revamp for me, is that the identity of the class is being capsulated into a "punishment". As long as the "Survivor punishment" gives me a good vitality buff and one of the chance spells is like the old "Sacriers foot" or "Dissolution" I will be content. That is to say that I will be disappointed in that the downside to survivors punishment is that our damage is lower, so that will also affect how much we will lifesteal. I know it might sound desperate that I would be looking forward to one punishment to save this class for me but oh well.

I will miss the old "Hit Me!" attitude of the Sacriers. Scathing Punishment will be more like "PLEASE STOP I BEG YOU!" It's shaping up to be a glass cannon build and the reduction of your resistance only hints at that. The vog punishment reduces your hp, so that says it all. The good thing about the agi spells is the amount of map manipulation it offers, and that 1 mp is dazzling.

So I will be here. Patiently waiting for the numbers and getting ready to go cha/agi if I end up liking this new class, if not I will be looking to change it.

If one Element was forced to be removed:

Earth removed = Int/Cha/Agi for Atcham Sabres.
Chance removed = Str/Int/Agi for Flinty Daggers.

Since I've been Strength for quite a while and want a change, I'm okay with Earth being removed. Atcham Sabres would be worth it, better than Catseye Axe (if Air was removed).

I'm sure they are going to change the thematic look of things to chain/masochism based themes. We just need to wait 1 more day.
I still love the Scathing Punishment look and I look forward to seeing the other animations.

It's funny how people keep saying that earth should stay, but to take off water/air because earth is more of a staple of the class. It isn't, IMO. Air has lock, which is vital for current sacrier; water has the best sustain and tanking capabilities, as well as being the only branch with 2 spells, so it's arguably the main element for a sacrier. If something was going to be taken, it would be earth or fire. Fire has range and best single target dpt, as well as leek pie, while earth is...somewhere between the sustainability of water and the lock of air. I love sacrier's foot, don't get me wrong, but as a build, earth is the least unique. So it makes sense it would go...it was either this or fire.

I was wondering now, what is the point of keeping life transfer if we won't have that much vitality? That spell was already not that great on some levels and risky situations. What about now? Any chance we can get swap back instead of it?

Btw, oh please, for the love of god, not Bill's designs. I like the artist but I hated most of his views on the gods, use those versions.

I'd love for sacriers to get earth/fire/air if they have to cut off an elemental branch because the available gear for that element split is much better for their role in combat. You talk about the spells they currently have, but they are getting revamped. just because thats what their spells have done historically, does not mean they have to continue doing so.

If the gear for other combinations isn't good enough, they should improve the gear for other combinations. Class balance shouldn't be influenced by gear, but gear should be made to accommodate class balance.

If gear should be made to accommodate class balance as you said, why should a reworked class not just be dropped into the right elements for the existing gear, rather than make a bunch of lock tank cha/agi/int trielement gear that only the sacrier (and maybe the feca) will want to use?

The gear for the other combinations is good, just not when you take into account things that the sacrier specifically wants.

You mentioned fecas, which are a class that would roughly want what sacriers want, plus MP/AP removal. Fecas have access to all 4 elements. So, there should be gear in every combination to accommodate for every possible feca combination, which in turn, would serve for any possible sacri combination. Same goes for huppers. So yeah, basing the elements the class should be solely on gear is bad design, because it will limit the class to said specific gear. Making more possibilities of gear and stat combinations gives much more choice, and solves any similar issues that classes in the future could have with this. So I'm sticking with my argument, new gear should be made for different needs, instead of putting out gear that is so similar that it makes you question what is the point.

Is there any ETA of this revamp at Beta? I thought it would be last week.

The plan is to release the 2.39 Beta (which will include both the Sacrier revamp and the second part of Ohwymi) later this week. It was supposed to be released last week but was delayed because, in the wake of the 200+ rework, we need to remove features.

I hate beating a dead horse, but is there anyway you can talk to the people whom it concerns about the sacrier transformation graphics? To see if they are even considering the possiblity of changing them? It seems like alot of the negativity is on the graphics of the transformation, so info on them considering taking community input would probably put alot of players at ease.

@GrimTalon I don't think their gonna change it, their were tons of negativity toward the osa transformation but everyone sucked it up and got used to it so its something were gonna have to get used to, I love the new transformation and so does a lot of people who are staying quite about it so they don't have to deal with the people who are hating and complaining about it

I never get used to it... It still constantly irritate me. I hate it so much that I never use it. I'd rather quit playing my osa than use that inappropriate appearance.
The Dragon is somewhat acceptable, but a hammer weilding beast makes no sense at all.

the osa transformations are a different story. Not only did ankama accept community input by allowing them to vote on the forms they wanted, the transformations at least make sense for an osamodas (as someone else put it, the osa "becomes" the beast) and they look aesthetically pleasing in the world of dofus.

The problem with sacrier transformations is that we were pretty much told "you have no say, since this time were getting your help on balancing spells" and they dont make sense to the class they represent. Why should a blood warrior start floating and turn into just muscle/nervous system? that doesnt make sense to me. a blood warrior taking on aspects of its goddess? that does. And to top it off, the transformations look extremely out of place when compared to anything about the game. Like many others have said, it would work in wakfu, and its even pretty art, but it doesn't fit the aesthetic sense of Dofus or of the sacrier specifically.

@GrimTalon dont forget when they showed us the ideas that they showed us on the community letter a lot of people liked and supported the design for the transformation that they showed and that is what they went with also dofus finished a revamp that was never suppose to come this year so design choice was NEVER going to happen with them hurrying up the revamp also dofus as a whole is evolving Sadi never use trees to summon dolls Osa never used animals to fuse, Eni were never suppose to be hard hitting, and yet we all allow that to slide and these things were never tied to their God/Goddess and everyone was happy with it, the design maybe weird but its the direction their going with sacs and I love the new design its different and not typical or boring also when they allowed us to pick Osa transformation on the forms everyone picked the opposite on what the Osa players want which even created more negativity it make since for sacs to have weird transformation like that since they love messing with blood and as a whole dofus /Wakfu never explored or gave us lore on sacs potential and one of the biggest thing is that Ankama mention that in one of their behind the scene videos their improving their animation to make it seem more new and different thats why Iop, Xel, Eni, and osa have such unique and well animated attacks/summons the letter to the community is a point that said we wanted the transformation and their giving it to us simple as that

Since the designs don't look very great or related to Sacriers, I think most people wouldn't have mind if Revamp was due early next year, because look at what they've done when rushed it, and didn't give opportunity to players to select which designs they like best...

@Earl-Phantomhive true but I like the design I think they wanted to get it soon cause so many players like myself really wanting the revamp but also at the same time with the new level system sacs can't xp due to us being completely useless and I don't use multi account to xp I only play with 1 account and 1 character, and probably want a huge amount of content before the next year happen which i never seen ankama give us this much content in December so maybe that's why they wanted to get out soon also I think they want a fresh start on discussing what classes NEED to be revamped next I'm sure we'll get used to the changes just like any revamp I'm happy that ankama is trying and enough that ankama is working their behinds off trying to give us a lot of content just sucks seeing people trash on how much time they work and not even considering anything without trying it out I feel like this argument outrage should've WAIT till beta
