When did they ever say auction house equipment wouldn't be replaced?

in their last update; they wont return the Kamas.. can you tell if ur missing equipment in auction house was sold or just vanish with the missing datas? sad

I can't tell since my profits was in a glitched bank box.. sad
At the moment of those RB, they was not my equipment but an item with a price tag on it. sad

My understanding is, those were a part of the stolen Kamas.. it's gone man. angry

As someone who has been trying to stay fair to the dev team, I gotta say... This is really getting pathetic. There's no amount of compensation that can rectify this lmao

Our data analysis is coming to an end and we will be able to provide you with more information on the return of the missing equipment during the course of next week. Kamas, XP, resources, mount certificates won’t be returned.

Hi everyone,


We're getting back to you today about the issue. More than a month ago, we'd said that "Our data analysis is coming to an end," and we haven't told you anything since then. First, we would like to apologize for that! We understand your consternation, and above all, we would like to thank you for staying calm and respectful all this time.


We haven't been sitting idle these last weeks and, even though there's still more work to do, we want to give you a few explanations. First, as we've already explained, the issue on Julith happened first and needed to be dealt with first. That let us test a new technique that allows for much more optimal results than in the past. For that, the developers work first (to extract the data), then the analysts compare a sample of all affected with the extracted data. The idea is to determine very quickly what will be returned.


Unfortunately, in Echo's case, more than half of the selected sample were not even in the extracted data! That could mean two things: either all those tickets were lying and trying to take advantage of the situation, or there was a problem with data recovery. We trust you, so we decided to run the data recovery again in order to be sure it was accurate. That took time… not to mention there were other urgent issues for the team to handle during that period (such as rollbacks on Temporis and 1.29, for example) and the team was short-staffed because of the summer holidays.


Today, we've finished analyzing all the data and all the accounts. The lost items (2,351 items in all) will be injected little by little over the coming days. Some accounts will be contacted by Support in order to go into more detail about their individual cases. Thank you all once again for your patience and understanding.

Will there be sanctions to people that were lying? It is infuriating that someone would try to take advantage like that, and make people that were actually affected by this wait even longer to get their stuff back.

Quick reminder; 5 days after the problemss, they were telling people they had and wont have any idea of what was dupe.. just that answer was an invitation for false claim...

I mean.. lol if they receive something.. it's gonna be duped items, the next time devs doing a bad manipulation and take an entire summer to fi.. well in my case it would have been 0,06% of the problemsss fixed; if I had not get refunded and kept waiting on that "fix"..

3 months to scan 2531 pieces of equipment.. twice!!?; aka a fraction of echo accounts
Now blaming false claim?! c'mon


I only blame ankama amateurism; they did so much mistakessss on that one.. way to many for a 15+ yrs old company

For this issue a faulty extract was to be blamed, tracked down, convicted and sanctioned. We dragged it to the waste bin and ceremoniously clicked the “empty waste bin” button.


We do those extracts to validate your claims. While there might be some black sheep trying their luck in such cases, it is usually a very small minority. And still within this minority might be people with rightful claims or people who made an honest mistake, overlooked something, etc., they won’t get punished. We don’t want you to be afraid to contact support with your issues!


However, if the very unlikely case happens that at some point for some reason malicious claims are a majority, and we can’t trace the issue back to a fault in our systems, we might consider sanctions for disruptive behavior. But as mentioned, this is a very unlikely scenario wink

The injection of lost items took place over the past few days and we are glad to announce that it was finished this afternoon.
We remain vigilant and will be running some tests to ensure all went according to plan and nobody was left behind. 
Some of you might even be contacted by Support. If for whatever reason you did not get your lost items back and haven't yet been contacted by Support, please do take the initiative to create a Support ticket and one of our agents will be more than happy to assist you.
