Game of Crowns, Season 2

By [Ankama]DOFUS - ADMIN - January 03, 2020, 16:00:00
AnkaTracker Announcements

A new year means new challenges. We're starting again and trying to do better! Let's see… What's the 1st event of the year? Let your gluttony do the talking, it's right on the tip of your tongue… yes! The Thwee Kings Cake! And for the 2nd year in a row, you won't just nibble on it…

"Every lucky figurine for himself!": That's the Game of Crowns! in a nutshell – no running away, just getting your mitts on as many Woyal Lucky Charms as you can. It might sound easy, but actually you'll have to fight like a Mufafa to be Kwing of the Cake!

From Tuesday, January 7 (after the weekly maintenance), to Sunday, January 19 at 11:59 p.m. CET, face the royal bosses in their dungeons and collect the Woyal Lucky Charms they drop when you defeat them (if you're lucky, they might drop something more than just those charms, too). There will be something for everyone: levels 30, 80, 140 and 200. The harder they are to defeat, the more Charms you'll collect; and the more you have, the nicer your title* for the year will be!

Of course, you won't be the only one participating… Track your progress by checking how many Woyal Lucky Charms you have in your inventory.

Plan of Attack: The Game of Crowns Boss List

  • Royal Gobball
  • Kwakwa
  • Royal Coco Blop, Royal Morello Cherry Blop, Royal Indigo Blop & Royal Pippin Blop**
  • Royal Blue Jelly, Royal Lemon Jelly, Royal Strawberry Jelly & Royal Mint Jelly***
  • Wa Wabbit
  • Wa Wobot
  • Rac Queen
  • Royal Rainbow Blop**
  • Fraktal
  • Royal Mastogob
  • Royal Tofu
  • Royal Pingwin
  • Tengu Snowfoux
  • Celestial Bearbarian
  • Dantinea
  • Dazahk Freezammer
  • Queen of Thieves
  • King Nidas

Rewards: Ceremonial Items and Titles

  • Title: Epiphony 650 (starting from 168 Woyal Lucky Charms)
  • Title: Lucky-Charm Collector 650 (starting from 504 Woyal Lucky Charms)
  • Title: Kwing or Kween for a Day 650 (starting from 1,008 Woyal Lucky Charms)
  • Wa Odanowth's Cwown (collectable as a rare drop, not linked to your account)
  • Wa Odanowth's Cloak (collectable as a rare drop, not linked to your account. New!)

See you on Tuesday to take part in this event, which is sure to be crowned with success yet again!

ERRATUM: Contrary to what was announced, in order to obtain your titles, you must exchange your Woyal Lucky Charms with NPC "Wa Egon" before the end of the event. The NPC can be found at [9,-2] (Madrestam Harbour).

* The titles will be added to the game the week after the event.
** When fighting the Royal Rainbow Blop, you also face 4 other Royal Blops. However, they are not the "boss" of this fight and will not drop any Woyal Lucky Charms
for the event…
*** It also won't be possible to obtain Woyal Lucky Charms from Royal Jellies by facing several of them in the Jellieth Dimension.

Good morning, everyone.

Contrary to what was said in the news, titles will not be added to the game the week after the event:  you can get them directly in-game, by exchanging your Royal Lucky Charms with Wa Egon at  [9.-2].
We apologize for this mistake.

PS - Unused Woyal Lucky Charms will now be kept in your inventory (under Quest Items). If you didn't have the time to complete the event this year, you will be able to continue it next year.

Could we possibly know in advance:
- the amount of figurines per dungeon;
- the chance % to drop the crown/ cape, per dungeon;
- if idols influence or not any of the first two;
- if challenges completed influence or not any of the first two;
- if souls in arena count too.

[ EDIT, Jan 4 :]

There, I found some threads from last year:

https://www.dofus.com/en/forum/2-general-discussion/334333-get-set-game-crowns

And this list, below, from the second thread above, in case the RLC amount per dung remains the same:

Not an official answer, but

-I don't know
-You can look at the droprate of the crown/cape in the bestiary, it's 0.05% base for Royal Gobball, and 0.95% for King Nidas
-Idols and challenges do increase the droprate for the ceremonial items, don't know about the figurines
-Highly unlikely souls will count

It makes a change to see an event where  "normal" players can take part.

By normal I mean those of us who have 1 or 2 accounts rather than 4 or 8, and haven't spent billions on overmaging equips.

Don't get me wrong, if they can afford it good on them, but it seems all the new content for the last few years has been aimed at them rather than the broader player base.

Bonjour,

Q: Someone asking if the charms are to be traded with a NPC or obtained on quote (en achiev).
R: The titles are obtained automatically at the end of the event, and they will be injected into the game the week after the event.

Q: Someone wondering if the amount of charms will be the same like last year.
R: yep, amount of charms remains like last year.
(which makes the list of dungeons and charms per dungeon from a post a bit above still up to date this year.)

PS: There seems to be a bug with the edit/ copy/ paste of blocks of quotes, maybe someone from forums tech team would  like to have a look at it .... Parts of text not showing, after "modify", regardless of amount of attempts to add them ....
And the inability of changing text color upon editing a post, seems to be back ...

Hello everyone,

Until now, the Wa Egon traded your Woyal Lucky Charms for titles.
Starting tomorrow, after the weekly maintenance, the number of WLC required to obtain a title will now take into account titles from the event that have already been acquired (and subsequently reduced).

The amount of Woyal Lucky Charms needed for a title will take into account whether or not another title has already been purchased, and therefore reduce the price by the amount that has already been paid.

For example:

  • Title: Epiphony 650 =  168 Woyal Lucky Charms
  • Title: Lucky-Charm Collector 650 = 504 Woyal Lucky Charms
  • Total cost to get both titles = 672 WLC

After tomorrow's maintenance
  • Title: Epiphony 650 =  168 Woyal Lucky Charms
  • Title: Lucky-Charm Collector 650
    • 504 Woyal Lucky Charms
    • 336 Woyal Lucky Charms - if you already purchased the Epiphony 650 title
  • Total cost to get both titles = 504 WLC!

Is this a retroactive change?
Yes. If you got a title before this change, the cost of the second title with be adjusted.

What if I got the expensive title and didn't unlock the cheaper ones?
Then the NPC will offer you the cheaper titles at the cost of 1 WLC.

As this change comes quite late during the event, will the event be extended to allow players to enjoy it fully?
Alas, no. The event will end Sunday, January 19 at 11:59 p.m. CET and won't be extended.

How ... "retroactive" is it?
I mean, if I got some titles from last year event ("minor" ones), is it cheaper now = this year, to get "more advanced" titles?

ummmmm ...
I think it has been asked last year too, not sure ...
Anyway ...

Would you guys maybe consider not overlapping Kwismas Island already shortish time span ig, with the Game of Crowns Event?
Pretty pleeeaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ?!
It makes it hard to decide, also a bit stressing, to choose where to focus more: Kwismas Island (which, personally, I looveeeeeeeeeeee, I wait for it all year !!!!!!!) or Game of Crowns Event ?!

So, maybe next year/s, the two won't overlap?
At least, please, consider it.
Thanks in advance!
