Devblog: Guild Chest improvements
By [Ankama]DOFUS - ADMIN - June 20, 2022, 15:00:00Recall that guild chests are a new feature that first arrived in the game back in March (you can read all about it here). Each guild has a guild chest that's accessible in every bank in the World of Twelve. It has 100 slots and can be used by multiple guild members at the same time. New rights were created to manage access to this chest: View, Deposit and Withdraw.
To go a bit further with this concept and improve on the original feature, we've now added TABS.
What are chest tabs?
A guild chest will have multiple tabs, each providing access to a separate storage area. These chest tabs will have 100 slots each.
Each tab is customizable; specifically, this means that
- you can rename it and assign your choice of icon to it. These modification rights will depend on the "Manage guild chest" right (previously called "Manage guild chest rights").
- each tab will have its own associated rights (View, Deposit and Withdraw). In other words, you can give everyone access to certain tabs in the guild chest, but restrict access to specific ranks for other tabs.
- in the guild log, incoming or outgoing transactions for each tab will be displayed based on what rights you have.
- you can place restrictions on each tab. For example, you might decide that one tab will only allow bread and runes to be deposited.
How many tabs will a guild have?
Each guild will start out with access to one tab in the guild chest (which is how things are in the game right now). After that, guild members will be able to unlock access to a maximum of 3 additional tabs, for a total of 4 tabs (3 + 1). Continuing with our math lesson, 4 tabs with 100 slots each brings us to a total of 400 slots maximum in the guild chest. So how will you unlock those additional tabs? Well, that brings us to the second big addition to guild chests: THE GUILD POT.
Additional tabs will be unlocked by paying in kamas. Each guild member will be able to contribute kamas to a guild pot in order to unlock additional tabs:
- Kamas added to the guild pot cannot be recovered. Note that this also applies when a guild is deleted.
- Contributions to the guild pot apply to one tab at a time. Once the kama goal is reached, the tab is unlocked. A new guild pot will then be started to unlock the next tab, and so on.
- Each successive tab will be more expensive to unlock.
You can display a list of all contributors to the current guild pot to unlock the next tab. Once that tab is unlocked, this list will be erased and a new one will be created for the new pot. Tab unlocks are shown in the guild log.
Note that 2 restrictions have been added on participation in the guild pot:
- to contribute, the guild member must have been in the guild for at least 48 hours
- you can only make one contribution per day, per character and per tab.
New restriction added
To avoid any abuse of the system, we're adding a new restriction on access to the guild chest: In order to obtain its first tab in the guild chest, a guild must have existed for at least 30 days.
To avoid locking anyone out when we introduce this new restriction in the update, the restriction will initially apply only to depositing items in the chest for guilds that are less than 30 days old. That way, members of newer guilds who have deposited items in their chest before the update will still be able to get them back out. Later this quarter, we will then completely block all access to the chest for guilds that are less than 30 days old.
When will this be happening?
As we've mentioned a number of times, we think of Temporis as an opportunity to test out new ideas, concepts or changes so that we can then incorporate them into the game in the most appropriate way possible. That's why we've decided to deploy this new feature only on the Temporis servers for now. This will allow us to better understand how you use the new guild chests, and also to adjust the specific amounts needed to unlock each successive tab. This change will be deployed in-game in the September update if all goes well. We've tweaked certain criteria so that you can still take full advantage of these new features, even in the short time window of a Temporis event. Here are the kama values for unlocking the various tabs in Temporis 7:
- 1st tab: free
- 2nd tab: 5,000,000 kamas
- 3rd tab: 10,000,000 kamas
- 4th tab: 15,000,000 kamas
We hope you'll enjoy testing these new features, and please tell us what you think!
Why kamas? Why? Someone pls explain it to me?
gahhhhhhhh ... gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...
It would be farrrrrrrrrrrrr more interesting if the tabs would be unlocked with resources, for example :
For kamas unlocking, it is baaah, boring, a lil unfair, a lil not mmorpg rpg style, I think, cuz :
I definitely think that unlocking tabs should be via resources, on lev groups, similar to pets raising with resources, but demanding less resources, of course, since it gives lil advantage in game.
That'd be my 2 cents on this.
Looking forward to see if/ when these suggestions/ ideas have been passed to dev team.

Have a good day, all, ankamnians and dofussians!
- tab "0" free;
- tabs for resources, for 1st floor of guild chest:
- tabs for xp, for 2nd floor of guild chest:
- tabs for roses of sands, for 3rd floor of guild chest:
- tabs for nuggets, for 4th floor of guild chest:
- tabs for quests, for 5th floor of guild chest:
Thoughts on this system of floors of tabs?
Person x has the right to make a request, person y has the right to accept requests for guild bank items. This means a highly trusted core can oversee a less trusted outer ring of players. Currently I mainly see guild chests being unused or only used for some idol or exploration item equipment that a high rank borrows out on request, similar to how guild-house storage was used in the past anyways.
Please, do allow me to disagree :
Inflation would be if all (including old) items would cost more and more, e.a. year, e.a. month, e.a. week ... ; but, for example, things that were made before some major areas' revamps cost a fraction from what they used to cost back "in my time"; as for the new and newest things, they start at moon high prices, and gradually lower price too, as they get more common, more players drop the resources etc needed for them, etc.
But, I do agree, if I were to look at this from the point of view of an ogrine seller (who buys ogrine and sells them in game for kamas, to use them later to gear and whatnot ...) or even from the point of view of a "kama seller" (who, in contradiction to general rules, sells kamas for money, sometime taking the opportunity created that way to also "hack" their "customers" ' accounts), the less kamas would be in circulation in game, the more expensive, both as orgine price and irl cash price per unit of ogrine.
And new players barely have enough kamas for zaps and bank fees, many of them prefering to drop gear/ resources/ etc on ground, and/or destroy all that, than to use bank to save for later use; so, actually, someone lev 20 with 375 kamas and half piwi set/ half normal gobb set, would love to have more chests to store stuff; also, at lower levs, probs. the idea of "sharing with guild, via guild bank" can catch more, since resources and gear are cheperish at that point; I do doubt, somehow, that a +100 lev guild with +100 members and lots of 199 - 200 - 200+ members would put into guild bank their 200- 200+ resources and/or gear, cuz temptation would be waaaaaay toooooo muuuch for lower lev players to take those form guild bank, but not cuz it helps their progression, but just to sell them, and buy what they need, without having to farm much or do tons of professions, to earn them by themselves.
But you both got a different problem right in my opinion, that improvement would be good for a older server, for a temporis server the price seems off, and not the right place to test the correct price, since kamas inflation happens over years and many characters per account/challs & etc... and since temporis is time restricted & everything is deleted after, testing the idea seems good, testing the price range seems like a flawed concept
If we going to have more temporis, and this feature is going to be implemented, it probably should be implemented in a different way, specially since it would be extremely useful in the first few days, and players would never be able to afford it.
what i was saying is if Ankama want us to test it, it should be easier to get it, and yes the first few week are most active on Temporis, if you need 3 weeks to get tabs because it is too expencive, you rather buy houses after a week and use those (simply cheaper), but i really would love us all to test the tabs because it might be a great second option and might also be of great use on the normal servers (if properly tested)
managing takeout with roles is great, also that you can put different on every tab, totaly agree there, would not like it more complicated, also if someone is missbehaving you just take away the right on the tab, which makes it easier to manage then chests where you have to change the code and inform everybody who had the access
lmao, them what a coincidence, because kamas sink would be a good way to describe the kamas leaving the economy,
in any case,
the problem with temporis, is not only that the first few weeks are the most active, its also that is the weeks that most action/changes happens, even if we would keep the same player base, you are leveling and changing sets faster than when you are 150+, professions also level way faster at low levels so resources needs/recipes change faster, gathering professions are reaching new possible resources faster, you are changing places you level & drop faster & etc...
So having a way to trade with an active guild in the first week is extremely valuable
Sorry to sounds a disrespectful but
Some restrictions sounds really dumb, Taking 30 days to have one? Why? that's when you would need/enjoy it the most in Temporis, by day 30 some players are already high level, and have a high level profession, for players in the normal servers it doesn't make any difference, most Guilds are over 30 days
Abusing it? it doesn't make any sense, what kind of abuse, there is nothing you can do with Guild tabs that you can't do without, it is only a good Quality of Life, and you are basically disabling it in temporis when you need it the most for no reason. Why? just why?
https://www.dofus.com/en/forum/2-general-discussion/340272-bots-sigh
Been a month now without any sort of reply on the issue
ALSO WHY can´t i make a guild house on temporis? this really sucks:
"[12:42] You cannot share an additional house. Only guilds that are at least two months old and have reached level ten can share one. Thereafter, additional houses are obtainable based on a ten level increment."
ALSO Please let me NAME (with icon and/or name) the GUILD PADDOCKS!! thankyouu
