Replying to VoidofSouls
The Quagmire/Mound spells were removed following the Beta's feedback!
I hope this answers your question.
Have a great day!
For those at the back of the class who have not been paying attention, let's first review what common spells are. As the name suggests, a common spell is one that is common to all classes, which means it can be obtained and used by all the classes in the game. There are different ways to get them depending on the spells in question.
There are currently 15 common spells in the game, and they can be divided into three main categories:
* A variant for the "Summons Skill" spell was added in update 2.64. It lets players choose whether summons are controlled by default or not.
In this update, only spells in the 3rd category are being modified.
While fundamental to DOFUS, there were several areas of how these spells currently work that we wanted to improve:
We identified several goals for these changes:
Finally, just like class spells, have common spell levels so that each spell's power keeps up with the character's level.
You will find all the details of the changes and new features added to common spells in the changelog that will be published on the day the Beta starts. But here's an overview of the various spells:
Replying to VoidofSouls
Wha...why?
"BURNT PIE: Inflicts damage in the caster's worst element.
LEEK PIE: Inflicts damage in the caster's best element."
I don't see why this would be helpful unless you can change it during a match. Most of my characters are omni and don't have a weak element. I'd prefer a choice as it is - fire damage. I often use leek pie to weaken and *just* avoid killing. If it changes, I will have to recalculate it for each of my characters.
Cawwot is super interesting. Now can perhaps proc nightmare dofus easier and get more out of your 1st turn/buff turns by shielding yourself while healing.
Lighting is super interesting, especially with chain lighting.
Summoning of the skeleton is a good change because I think this helps get rid of the gambling people do with it. Wonder if the chaf will have the same stats.
Moon hammer is huge. If you get to keep that +1 range for 6 turns, just wow.
Boomerange + the new release variant is interesting to pull things in.
Leak pie is super cool to do for people that don't run int builds. Still allows you to build around it for specific encounters.
Weapon clumsiness... Can you cast this on enemies? If so huge. But if not hmm I wonder why you'd want to do this.
Summoning whatever spider is nice as well.
Mantiscroc and the variant are really good too if you lack lock or need a bit of dodge.
Overall super interesting changes. Really excited for this update!
- LEEK PIE: Inflicts damage in the caster's best element.
Since it's not necessarily a flaming hot pie anymore - time for an actual pie animation?EDIT: It shoots a pretty rainbow version now!
Although that said, I hope they also take a look at obtaining them. For leek pie, you currently need to either be in a strong alliance, or simply (indirectly) fork over your kamas for alliance players. Similar to everything requiring pebbles, I'd love to see PvP elements becoming fully optional in spell and gear creation.
So the list in this devblog is not 100% accurate.
You'll probably have to check the changelog for the update to see, which spells ended up in the game and which ones were scrapped.
Hoping for official word on this somewhere.

That is strange. In order to receive assistance on this, I recommend you write a ticket to the Support team so they can investigate more closely and help you retrieve your spells!
Thank you for your understanding.
