The game has always been intended and rated as for 13 years and older, however majority of the people I've ever encountered have all been adults or at least over 18, so no - not a children's game per say.
Retro was made because people wanted the "old" Dofus back, so technically Dofus 1.29x still exists.
Whilst I agree that the bot problem has pretty much always been there and at times it seems overwhelming, the game as a whole is not dead, quiet at times, but not "dead in the hospital"
The port to Unity might offer Ankama better tools to solve the problem of bots, kama sellers etc. As the game stands today (both Retro and 2.0) the game engine and scripts used to write it is not supported any more and this may have caused the influx of problems and "problematic players" because new security measures cant be installed.
And yes, I am a fan, I may not always like or agree with some of the actions or lack of actions Ankama take, I appreciate that they are taking steps to improve and have better control when the game is ported over to Unity.
