The Leprechauns can indeed be captured, and if I'm not mistaken their green effect should also be applied by captured Leprechauns souls ^_^

As soon as the bamboo milk starts flowing and the green starts growing, they can't help themselves: Leprechauns come running from March 16-23!
There's no way that Twelvians will let these little green men spoil the Pandawa festival, which runs from 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 23! So, they're going to flush them out wherever they're hiding: in Astrub, in the Low Crackler Mountain, and in the Bwork and Goblin Camps (which says a lot about their relationship skills…).
And there's always one or two Clover Fairyworks to win! Any Leprechauns you battle will put a somewhat unusual curse on you, which will turn your skin a shade of green somewhere between a Bwork and a Kappa, lasting until the next fight.
