Celebrate the Pandawan Lunar New Year! Info - 2021-02-03 16:00
Back to listPandawas often seem to be over the moon, but it isn't because of fermented beverages! To Xelor's great distress, the World of Twelve's party crowd has its own way of marking time. What more proof do you need than the unfailing celebration of the Lunar New Year? This time around, Fortunawa cookies and a ceremonial pet have joined the party!
How did this event get started? That is shrouded in mystery… Haters say that it's merely a result of their annoying tendency to toast to anything and everything. But not everyone agrees… What if Xelor's calculations are wrong? What if the god of time was thoroughly mistaken? Something tells us that Twelvians haven't finished arguing over the question. So, if the Pandawan Lunar New Year is going to be a recurrent subject of discussion (and arguments) everywhere, and whether or not you celebrate it, we might as well make it interesting for you, right?
That's why, from 3:00 p.m. CET on Friday, February 5 until Monday, February 22 at 3:00 p.m., you can become the proud owner of a new ceremonial pet – Moonotaur!
If you want to walk away with him at your side, you're going to have to take the Minotoror by the horns… And that's not all! The Minotot, Damadrya, Nagate, Tanukouï San, Founoroshi, Hanshi, the Shogun Tofugawa, Koumiho, the Ink Queen and the Paper King will also have to be wary of you, or scurry away like rats. (That said, the rats are delighted that you'll be leaving them alone this year…)
The ceremonial pets from previous Lunar New Year celebrations, specifically the Wingepig and Ratalda can still be obtained from the monsters that dropped them at the time, but at a lower drop rate. For the Ratalda pet, those monsters are the White Rat, the Black Rat, Sphincter Cell, Damadrya, Nagate, Tanukouï San, Founoroshi, Hanshi, the Shogun Tofugawa, Koumiho, the Ink Queen and the Paper King. The Wingepig can be yours if you dare go up against the Dragon Pig, Damadrya, Nagate, Tanukouï San, Founoroshi, Hanshi, the Shogun Tofugawa, Koumiho, the Ink Queen or the Paper King.
Another thing needed for any successful Lunar New Year (the exact composition of which are also the subject of many wild theories) is: Fortunawa Cookies! These delicious little treats made according to a secret ancestral recipe by Pandawas (some say they kneed the dough with their armpits, although it's more likely that they use their toes) will be here for the occasion as well! The greediest eaters will enjoy crushing the following monsters to fill their bellies:
- the Minokid
- the Deminoball
- the Mumminotor
- the Minotoror
- the Minotot
- the Ink Yokianzhi
- the Paper Yokianzhi
There's even something new this year! A new NPC has joined the party: the Pandalan Taur. This meditation pro is waiting for you in the Grandapan's garden inside the Forbidden Inn. Exchange a few words with him, and he just might temporarily turn you into a taurling!
For the Pandalan Lunar New Year celebrations, the new Haurned Ox Set* will be on sale for just €7.99 (or 8,000 OG) throughout the event.
As you can see, you definitely don't want to miss this event!
*The translation of the items and their descriptions in-game will be implemented on Tuesday's maintenance. We apologize for the delay.
