The divinities of the World of Twelve like to change things up from time to time, and when it comes to words, you have only Eniripsa and her mischievous spells to blame. Who else did you think swapped your "Aie!" for "Ow!"?!
To her surprise, not everybody liked her idea...
Sure, Word of Silence was always an option to quieten the loud protesters, but one thing Eniripsa likes more than playing with words is to be loved and worshipped.
So, instead of frightening adventurers away by punishing them for daring to challenge her decision, she'd rather unite them and fall back into their graces by allowing them to choose their battle cry.

With the 2.48 update, a change was made because we thought "aïe" had no place in the English translation of the game. You were numerous to express your discontent towards this decision across different platforms (forums, social media, ankabox messages, in-game, etc.)
Since our primary concern is to make you happy, we're inviting you to take part in deciding what the result of the /slap command will be.
