OSAMODAS

General

  • The number of spells has changed from 42 to 44.
  • The levels at which spells are unlocked have been adjusted: 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 20, […], 195, 200.
  • The summoning mechanic has been revised in depth.
  • The 12 summoning spells have been replaced by 6 generic summoning spells that, under certain conditions, can all summon any type of creature.
  • Re-casting a summoning spell moves the creature previously summoned by the spell.
  • The recast interval for summoning spells starts when the creature previously summoned by the spell dies. This interval ranges from 0 to 3 turns, depending on the Summons.
  • Summoning spells are obtained at levels 1, 30, 70, 120, 160, and 200; this therefore limits the number of simultaneous Summons respectively to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 at these levels.
  • It is no longer possible to have two of the same Osamodas Summons at once.
  • All the Summons in a family can be summoned during the same fight.
  • Consecutive Osamodas elemental spells let you earn 1 to 4 Tofu, Gobball, Toad or Wyrmling "summoning charges" (Tofu, Gobball, Toad and Wyrmling here refer to the families). The accumulated charges are lost if the charge family changes.
  • Charges 1 to 3 can be used up by summoning spells to summon respectively a melanic (formerly black), albino or colorful creature in the corresponding family.
  • The 4th charge transforms the Osamodas into one of four animal forms, providing bonuses to the summoner, their Summonses, and allies within 2 cells of one of them.
  • The summoning spells have been completely revised. They have 1 spell at levels 1 to 67, 2 spells at levels 68 to 133, and 3 at levels 134 and up.
  • The following spells have been removed because they had become obsolete: Animal Link, Animal Union, and Animal Communion.
  • Changes have been made to how the following spells operate: Whip, Crop, Duster, Call to Order, Dragon's Breath, Takeoff, Whirlwind, Replacement, Repulsive Fang, Plucking, Favouritism, and Relay.
  • The following spells have been impacted to a moderate degree: Dragonic, Geyser, Canine, and Fossil.
  • New Air spell: Gambol.
  • New Earth spells: Woolly Sledgehammer, Gobball Fleece.
  • New Water spells: Aquaculture, Scalding Poison, Batra.

  • The term "melanic" has replaced the term "black" in the names of Summons because it is a better opposite for the term "albino" and reflects the work done on colors.

  • A new Summons has been added: Noformo. It is summoned when the Osamodas doesn't have any elemental charges, and lets you gain them when you are isolated.

SACRIER

  • The number of spells has changed from 42 to 44.

  • The order in which spells are unlocked has been changed to make access to the various elemental paths easier from the start of the game.
  • All spell damage has been changed to adapt to the other modifications made.
    • The Suffering mechanic has been entirely revised:
      • Negative Suffering has been removed.
      • Suffering now depends on the caster's current percent of maximum Vitality. It ranges from 0 to 10, with each 10% Vitality threshold corresponding to a degree of Suffering. Each degree of Suffering brings a reduction in final damage suffered and an increase in final damage inflicted.
      • Spells that increased or decreased Suffering have been revised to no longer affect it directly. Indeed, since Suffering now depends on Vitality, spells that cause Sacriers to gain or lose HP naturally alter Suffering.
